The Jags Board for the most part would be happy to get a 1st for CJ, but would be happy to trade him for Zach Ertz +3rd. Lots of speculation regarding CJ being off for covid the last two weeks and now off for personal reasons. They think their secondary is better off without him and would want a TE, WR as trade comp. I would love to trade with them. MT + 2nd for CJ +1st. Do it somehow....lol

MT started all of this, not Duncan. Blaming JD for something that MT did wrong is ridiculous. The truth is the truth whether it's good or bad. I'd rather not burry my head in the sand and pretend everything is rosy if it's not.

He wrote a book on the Saints, remember. That involved a fair amount of trust on behalf of Payton and the Saints. Bountygate ended a long time ago.

Love this post. So many here want sunshine pumpers and refuse to ever blame the one responsible. It’s always someone else’s fault. Makes zero sense but is what it is. Reflection on society in general nowadays too, imo. Accountability for one’s actions is a rare bird these days.

For sure. You can never discount the Ohio connection, so with that in mind I wonder if they would do that same deal if we had to include Adebo.

I think all this mess with MT may be on his shoulders more than the team. The reason why I'm saying that is because of the fiasco between the Saints and Delvin Breaux's misdiagnosis. I would hope the team learned from that and wouldn't make the same mistake twice. With that also being said, if the team indeed reached out to MT multiple times to no avail and now see him disgruntled, then their best bet is to get value for him and let him see if his grass is greener on the other side. I think SP and the team learned hard lessons during the Junior G turmoil to put themselves in that kind of situation again as well. I mean we shipped out a promising WR in Stills, a Pro Bowl TE in Graham and I forget who else because of concerns of being a locker room "cancer." If MT wants to pull that thread, let him find out.

Organization doesn't trust him but they (including Payton and Brees) provided him all access just last year to pen a book about Coach and Drew.
Living in denial seems fun...I should try it sometime.

JD doesn’t report things that are false. At least not most of the time. But he tends to see things through a negative lens.

He wrote an article last year calling the 2017 Draft Class we had as the greatest in NFL history; not Saints history, NFL history. He's picked us to go to the Super Bowl like 3/4 times the last few years. He wrote a book last year saying Brees and Payton orchestrated the best offense in NFL history (again, not Saints history, NFL history).

But I get it...it's easy to remember the negative and brush off the good.

I actually don’t hate him. I hate how he tends to report on the Saints. He was once one of my favorite beat writers, back when he and Brian Alee-Walsh used to do their vlogs. I thought that was pretty good stuff. But his tone changed around 2012.

Never said that. But it's obvious that Duncan goes out of his way to subvert the organization with unnecessary drama that could have otherwise been handled in-house.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a right to do it and I'm not questioning that he's a "fan" of the team just because he wrote a book. I'm just engaging in the free and open discourse the same way as he is and choosing not to be a consumer of his content and voicing caution to those that wish to do so.
