I’m excited to see Rizzi HC the team. And I would be on board with him being HC based on how the team responds. His energy is fantastic and his no nonsense take on the game is what this city loves. Not saying he’s the answer but I’m at least curious to see how this goes.

I thought you were going to quote something else. I don't remember who it was, but the joke was about some military guys and one of their wives died. So the CO is wondering how he is going to tell him and decides to do this. "Everybody that has a wife take one step forward." If you really think about it, what was CSP's recommendation really worth? I bet he was LHAO when ML actually hired DA as the HC.....because he knew one day it was possible he would go against him.....poetic justice (especially if you believe the theory that there was a power struggle between CSP and Loomis at the end, which I think REBELMAX has hinted about in the past)....

Naw, I think CSP recommended him because DA was his friend...

Payton wouldn’t come back because he didn’t want DA to lose the HC job. He said that himself.

No, he was just being honest. Dennis didn’t lie. Although, he was probably still upset that Carr didn’t save his job. Carr looked rusty

I personally think this is an audition for Rizzi. In the same manner that they thrusted Rattler out there. Just trying to win games at all costs. Rizzi reinvigorating our Saints gives them the best chance to beat ATL. (as compared to a down trodden DA) An empty dome vs ATL would be devastating to the Saints' FO. I'm not saying i agree, im just saying this is what they are doing. They will not go into "tank" mode.

I recall people were pretty happy when we were able to retain Kamara, MT, Lattimore and Ramczyk after their rookie contracts on top of retaining Brees. All of the restructures since then have been a result of what we started 4-5 years ago. The gift that keeps on giving.

Dennis Allen misused every weapon he had on offense the last year he had with Brees. He was so determined to step out of Payton’s shadow that he screwed the pooch.

If I’m reading between the lines, their losing streak was due to a lack of effort not talent. Bad tackling is clear evidence of a lack of effort. That lazy read on 4th and 4 throwing an underthrown jump ball. The Wr not coming down with it after having both hands on it. It’ll be interesting to see if Rizzi can make this team look like a different team. If he can then we’ll know for sure that Da lack of leadership was the culprit.
