It's kind of bittersweet. We've been calling for his head for a few years now, but honestly, I wish the guy could have turned it around like he did our defense. Not everyone is meant to coach a high-level team and be successful. I wish him well in the future, but damn, we could have let him go earlier before setting some all-time low records. In 276 games where a team has 150 more yards, rushes for more than 150 yards and has zero turnovers, those teams were 275-0. Now we're the 1 in 275-1.

Still have damage to repair, but at least NOW the "continuing/ongoing damage" cycle ends. You can focus on the work to repair now.

Agreed. I typically don’t believe that firing a coach in-season makes much difference in that particular season, but from a business perspective and future outlook, it makes sense.

Mickey Loomis should be embarrassed. He was too weak to do what needed to be done so our owner had to step in, which is rare for her. Credit to Mrs Benson. Once this season is over Loomis needs to step down.
