Saints GM Mickey Loomis Media Availability’s Live Updates, January 13, 2025 (2 Viewers)

I get the feeling that Loomis is not happy with Payton or he feels Payton gets too much of the credit. It is important to note that without Loomis, Payton may not be PAYTON. I remember when they signed Sean Payton, people said he looks like the guy from Malcomn in the Middle. If I was Mickey loomis, I might be frustrated that people like Sean didn't give him enough credit for all the work he's done.

So the team did everything right. The record doesn't reflect all the great things they did.

Also, Allen is a good coach.

And just a coincidence that the Saints and Pels are the most injured teams every single year. Could have absolutely nothing to do with Ocshner! Glad we got that deal reupped!

We're heading in the right direction fellas!

Well we have seen how the Saints do with Loomis But No Payton in 2 different stints (2002-2005, 2022-2024) compared to how they do with Loomis and Payton (2006-2021), and it's pretty clear to me that Payton is not getting too much of the credit LOL.

I'm not surprised by anything I heard today but it was still disappointing. Everyone in upper management on Airline Dr thinks business as usual is just fine but they are collectively running two of the worst franchises in professional sports. The lack of accountability at the very top levels is depressing.

Payton just took his new team to the playoffs in year 2 with a rookie QB, missing draft picks, and changing over significant roster spots.

Loomis is GM of a team that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2021* (Payton’s last year coaching in NO).

Loomis seemed a lot more reasonable today compared to last year’s press conference, but still acts like he was the main guy baking the cake.

How many years of no playoff appearances does Loomis get to be patient?

It's hard to win in this league and we always seem to find a way to make the worst of a good situation. Couple years straight we've been in a weak division and can't get out of our own way to make the best of it. My gut is telling me it's going to be a decade+ before I see a really good saints team again. These years just keep floating by.

He just said “look beyond the results” again!
Maybe you should post the whole comment he said " Look the results are the results, and you can't ignore the results. But you also have to look beyond the results and understand the reasons behind the symptoms. Some are in our control and some are not."

I don't think you are getting the meaning of what he's saying. You can't JUST look at the results , you have to look at WHY you are getting those results

Cherry picking with no context. I watched 15 minutes off and on, and he said multiple times that they have things he needs to and the organization needs to improve on. (Frustratingly, he gave no specifics)
That guy is one of the most negative wannabe youtube reporters out there

Maybe you should post it. I posted what I heard when I heard it.
