Saints haven't drafted a QB in the first round in the last 50 years (1 Viewer)

This may be the year. This class may not be as hyped as previous drafts, but a lot of these dudes fit our O to the letter.

What they may lack athletically, they more than make up for w/intangibles IQ, release, decision making, field vision & ball protection. Pickett, Howell, even Corral & Strong fit that bill, especially in the mid/late teens & 20s.

I personally think Bailey Zappe, in particular, will fly up boards as the process moves forward & will ultimately garner late 1st RD consideration come draft weekend. Not a fan of Willis & Ridder, though. The athleticism is great, but everything else is crazy suspect, especially in terms of IQ, decision making & field vision.

I'll be pretty livid if we take a QB. That means you burned a pick on Ian Book for no reason. Should see what the kid can do before you go burning another pick on a QB, especially in this weak class. If Book isn't in your future plans in the next few years, you go get a rental in the offseason if Winston isn't your guy to begin with.

At this point N.O is picking fairly low in the draft. Whatever good prospect there might be at QB willl be drafted. Saints need to hit on as many offensive skill position players as possible in this draft

Tell that to Arizona re. Rosen/Murray.

I think Arizona got a chance to see what they had in Rosen and with the new coaching staff opted for Murray. The fact they had the #1 pick factored in there as well. IDK if them picking Book will factor into whether they pick a QB round 1 or not in '22 but tonight I will be having Fish Tacoes for dinner with a creamy adobo sauced slaw.
