Maybe even Gayle will let him use hers.

But also it’s not so much a omg those few hours will stop us from being able to get things done. It’s more so from the standpoint of he’s a Saint now.

He's also a Super Bowl champ and this is part of being that. He's also probably going to wear a Philly Super Bowl ring from time to time while he is HC of the Saints.

That's fair, but that's pretty much so the concern for every HC you hire unless they were a successful HC in the NFL at a previous stop. And you don't really get that option very often. Even loud outgoing guys like Rizzi and Campbell aren't guaranteed to be good leaders in the long run.
No doubt. That's always the biggest question mark of a first time HC. When Sean came in he had the nuggets to cut a bunch of guys right from the start. He knew the culture he wanted and if someone didn't fit, he moved on. Kellen will have to possess this in order to round the roster out with players that fit his vision. I'm just hoping he can make the tough cuts that will benefit us in the long term and not cave into the pressure from fans to keep fan favorites.

Not sure where the right place to post this thought is, but how is everyone feeling about him returning to Philly on Friday to attend their parade? In the grand scheme of things, it’s a single day. But I think it would go a long way with the organization and fans if he stayed here and hit the ground running. There is a lot of work to do and as far as getting ready for draft/next season, due to timing we’re already way behind the 8 ball.
I would be disappointed if he didn't go be a part of that celebration.

I wouldn't be disappointed if he started grinding tonight as the New Saints coach! 😉

It’s the biggest job of his life, 100s percent of a raise, the culmination of a lifelong dream…something tells me he’s been grinding for days or weeks now, even likely taking personal breaks to do so during his SB prep time.

I know the SB is big, but the human side of things weighs here. He’s been thinking Saints for some time now I’d bet.

Heck, he had to grind and deep dive merely just for the interview prep.

I think the locker room he's inheriting is in a lot better shape than the one Payton took over. He will also lack the cap space to do a big remake of the roster. He'll have some guys for the next year or two that don't really fit his vision but are needed as warm bodies.

I’ve been saying for a while that I wanted a young offensive minded head coach. Now that we have got one I’ll take the arrows or the complements as they may come. I am as excited about the NFL as I have been in a while. I was leaning hard towards the NCAA and college football over anything related to the NFL. Well now I have the fire lit at both ends of the candle and I can’t wait for spring training and two a days to get here soon enough.

Welcome Kellen Moore and family. I think it's a good hire. Let's check in 3 seasons how we did haha.

Carr can't be traded unless he agrees to it, he won't. And Mike Triplett is kind of right and kind of wrong. We wouldn't be able to have anyone sign a contract until June if we cut Carr with a June 1 designation, but that doesn't mean there can't be a handshake deal on a contract that will be signed in June. Are the big free agents going to wait for that? I have no idea. But we shouldn't be looking for big free agents this year anyway. We'd be looking to fill guys in after the draft.
I'll bet even the mid-level FAs are not going to wait 2 1/2 months to sign a contract

Also in order for us to get any relief on the 10 guarantee he gets from us he'd have to be traded and sign a new contract before 3/13

I've been thinking the same thing. I don't think DA let the attitude and behavior of the players get as bad as Haslett let it get. We also know that Rizzi made some changes to improve that when he took over.

I think that the talent level that Moore is walking into is at least as good as it was for Payton. I think the attitudes and behavior of the players is a lot better for More than it was for Payton.

"When Sean Payton took over he had no team to speak of; he hired players nobody wanted. For example; Pierre Thomas, Colston, and a guy named Brees that everybody saw as damaged goods, just to name a few. This Saints team has pro football players. They have not had good coaching. They are hungry. They are better than the record showed last year. They needed a real coach. We have one. We may win the Division this year. Watch and see."

Hired players nobody wanted? Who says that?

Also PT was a UDFA we got in 2007.....
