This has been a done deal for weeks. The Saints are just respecting the rules but I can assure you, Moore had basically signed before the Saints left Philly.

That may be but sometimes coaches change their minds, I will always wait for the official announcement before I consider it done....

Hopefully he will have a long leash to pick up some exciting new talent, along with some good deal veterans. We have a lot of holes to fill, but it all moves upward and onward from here.

Pretty sure you called Brady to green with a high failure rate in another post.

Moore is 1 year older then Brady. Moore became an OC with the Cowboys in 2019, and Brady became OC with the Panthers in 2020. By your logic we should be worried that Moore is to green. It's hard to keep up with the shifting narrative so I am not even sure if your happy we hired Moore.

For the record, I am happy we hired Moore. I was also on the young OC hype train.

YES!!! Now we can get on the good part of the off season. Between the hiring of assistants, the league year deadline for the cap and the draft we should have a pretty good idea of where this team is going for the next few years. Exciting times. The DA era is officially officially over.

Not sure how any Saints fan can't be excited about this. While Moore has a ton of work to do, it's hard to not compare this to the Payton hire back in 06. Clearly Moore does not have a QB of the caliber of Brees on the roster and hopefully finding long term future at QB is a top priority. Either way I am super excited for the offseason. Going to be fun to see that staff and roster being built out over the next few months.

Young coach, will be given a grace period to build and bring this team out of the previous two regimes cycle of players and contracts, this will be Kellen Moore and the New Orleans Saints just like it was Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints.

I dont think it’s fair for us to compare him to Payton, however now that he is officially our Head Coach we should allow him to room to see if he can grow into a career like that.

I’m on record of being skeptical of what he can do, but I’m also on record of of hoping to be wrong on this. So let’s hope he truly does turn this thing around in the next 4 years that would be incredible.
