Right, just to be clear I’m not predicting anything. I have no idea how he’ll do especially not knowing the Qb and the staff. But I agree it’s how fast you can get to a winning season.
I got it, I'm just not with the he gets a pass for multiple years crowd. I know everyone is excited to get a new coach but that doesn't change the bottom line when comes to wins and losses.

That doesn’t sound correct. How many other teams even interviewed Moore or considered him? I realize he COULD be the best hire, but to claim that now is sunshine pumping homerism.

Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson were clearly better HC candidates than Moore. Don’t forget 2 different guys removed THEMSELVES from consideration for this job.

I’m hopeful too, but pump the brakes.

This team is still very much behind the 8-ball
He had 3 virtual interviews, us , the Jags and the Cowboys. McCarthy and for my $ Brady knew they were not getting the job so they removed themselves because getting turned down would have been bad optics. Kingsbury decided early on not to take any interviews. We are not behind the 8- ball as much as you think

I really wish Loomis would say something like that but I doubt he will. We'll know what he's really doing by what happens and not by what he says.
And how many GMs would come out and say "We're going to be bad for a couple yrs" And if they did they should be fired for it. And obviously KM does not think the situation is dire or he would not have taken the job. I'm sure all of the " Ohh but the rumors " crown will not chime in

I am very interested to learn the length of the contract. I am expecting a five year deal.

I am sure Moore presented a plan in which there is a parallel path of cleaning cap and roster, and start building the new version of a competitive teams, via the draft.

For that reason, we may pass on clear need for this year and getting young players, even in positions we think are alright today, but may be in trouble in three years.

I am expecting to see him constructing building blocks, specially with bigger players at the lines.only exception is if they are available to get blue chip players, difference makers.

Quarterback may take longer than expected.

Interesting days to come for sure.

He won't. Underhill always says that Loomis just doesn't care what others think and doesn't care about P.R. Which is why they really need a great head of P.R. but our head of P.R. seems to be committed to creating the worst P.R. possible.
You know what the worst PR is ? Lose. You know what the best PR is ? WIN.

Listen, bark back all you want at every little thing. If you want to keep your blinders on all year long, that's fine. But no need to get sassy with people looking at the reality.

As for Kellen Moore, he isn't an idiot and it's not rumors. The words from his own brief statement "I look forward to embracing the challenges ahead and am eager to get started." aren't accidental. He knows this is an uphill climb and he's ready for it. I am also ready for it.

Sure, good PR says Loomis isn't going to come out and say that, but some acknowledgement of the challenges that everyone else can clearly see would calm a lot of nerves amongst the fan base and they likely give him some credit for wanting to get it under control.

LOL Sassy , like dictating the parameters of a thread, basically saying "I don't want to hear what you have to say if it disagrees with me"
Of course it's rumors, and a lot of them are from internet reporters looking for clicks. And then you have Scheffner saying that " Kellen Moore wants this job " Which the " Saints are the worst job in the NFL" crowd just glossed over

I'll venture to say just about every new HC hire has said "I look forward to embracing the challenges ahead and am eager to get started." when they took over the job
