Saints interviewed Eagles OC Kellen Moore [ 2nd interview completed on Jan 27 in Philly] (15 Viewers)

I do...I had always viewed him as a "fake coach."

Granted I was a lot younger then, but he always just looked like a whiney annoyance on the sideline with those old Giants teams, like a slightly more talkative Pete Carmichael or something...Little did I know. :ROFLMAO:

Right, that's my point. He was a pup back then. I'd like to see Kellen Moore on the sidelines as a head coach before I say that he lacks intensity.

Reports of him being quiet give me Dennis Allen vibes. Which is a yuck taste that still lingers... Still want Weaver.

Being quiet isn't the issue with Allen. He's just a bad head coach.

This. As much as people love fiery head coaches, the A-type personality is a bit overblown. You can quite literally look at any other profession in the world, and the one that is quiet and dominate with the eyes but also listens and is direct/blunt, excels to and this is exactly what we saw with Belichek. You see this in Todd Bowles. You can have team captains to get the blood going and work up the team.

And yes those same quiet ones still get mouthy with refs.

If you are a head coach.. quiet could mean no confrontation, which leads of lack of accountability. All speculation of course, but it is concerning.

I understand this thinking, mostly because I used to think that way myself. But I have learned through experience and a lot of psychology books, that quiet people in high positions can be very dangerous to underestimate. Usually because they hold high levels of confidence and can process scenarios in a multi-tasking fashion and are picking the response based on the process that plays out in their mind that will best help push the person to do what they want.

Dennis Allen wasn't this, just so we're clear. Oakland's head coaching tenure should've disqualified him from ever being considered as a head coach again.

But never underestimate a quiet person riddled in success.

One thing for sure, out next HC is going to better than the other three HCs in our division, talent notwithstanding.

It seems like the number one thing you hear from players is that they want the coach to be authentic. They see right through the guys that are trying to be something that they aren't. They're used to different personalities going back to Pop Warner.

Not sure why you think that. A perfect example is Todd Bowles has demonstrated time and again that he was better than Rizzi. And Rizzi is still under consideration.
Bowles would win another 9 games if our team wasn't so bare. Bowles is also not in the same category as Reid and Shanahan.

And I'm not considering Rizzi. If they keep him, then if the off-season doesn't have heads talking, I'm not buying into him.

If hired will he call plays- like woods was the DC but DA called plays- will he have an OC only in title?

I guess we aren’t trying to get a new staff before the senior bowl. If we go with the first time HC in offensive coordinator KM, he would need to put together a complete offensive, defensive and special teams staff. Thats alot to do for a first timer, without a ton of contacts, and pressed for time because he can’t put out any effort now, as he’s still competing. Just hire the guy that knows what to do and has led men. Compared to possibly a brilliant young man, but doesn’t look like he can lead men. He looks like the outdoor boys dad. :)

Just thought of this, what are the odds that Aaron Glenn and Joe Brady talked to Sean Payton about the Saints job? I’d like to have been a fly on the wall. Although I can pretty much assume what was said.
I'm much more inclined to think that Brady knew he was not getting the job and rather than get passed on by another team he pulled out. While Brady may be promising i really don't think he's ready to be a HC. Plus I doubt Brady talked to Sean , I don't think SP holds Brady in high regard
