I think most of us would like to sign Becton. We really need to shore up the OL if we are going with Carr at QB because he's not even mobile in the pocket. Plus, we are going to likely have to rely on a strong run game. Plus Becton is only 25 so he would be an investment in the future.

But, I will say that if 60 Minutes is hearing about Becton from his team sources, they must at least be considering it.

Those that are negative on this are ignoring something important.

You got a brand new coaching staff coming in. Usually that means turnover. Our defensive coaches wanted him here and obviously felt he is worth it and I would give them the benefit of the doubt in knowing his value more than anybody on this site

I really don’t think he’s reached his ceiling yet with us, I think this could work out well maybe boost his confidence that a team believes in him for an extended time and with the new system who knows, maybe it will rejuvenate him.

If he needs a contract to boost his confidence this deeply into his career at his age, then what in the world do we want him for? This isn’t high school. This is the NFL. If you don’t have the confidence to play DE in the league at this point, then go wring your hands for some other team, worrying about somebody believing in you.

No, this has no impact on the pick formula for Adebo (which will most likely be a 4th, not a 3rd)...
Also he's an above average rush end, well above. The $ is fine and perfectly inline with the market.
