Saints released Michael Thomas per Duncan; Thomas & Winston are Post-June 1 cuts (1 Viewer)

No lies detected, Michael Thomas had a few good years, but to say that he was a team player. It was a bit of a stretch, just look at the Pedegree where he comes from, Keyshawn Johnson was the biggest prima donna in the league when he was productive, but the minute he didn’t get the ball he started crying like a little B%@ch. Personally, the minute Michael Thomas lost his luster with me, was when he sucker punched a teammate in practice. #bye-bye
I’ll never forget when he got his new big contract, continued to play well and then was tweeting about needing to get paid again 🤣

Thanks for the good years but don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

It ended with me when he ran out the tunnel with that ski mask on. WTF.

Don't think he's any more of a cancer than he was in his prime. He's just no longer worth putting up with because his play doesn't match his mouth.

Still same passionate guy he was before. He'll be missed.
Agreed.

First off, thanks to Michael Thomas for all he's done for the Saints. It's a shame he got injured, and the surgery didn't take (or wasn't done well, no idea). It was a long, hard road to get back to being able to play.

He's always been a very passionate and outspoken guy. The problem with that, is that it always looks bad, when the performance isn't there. That, coupled with a few too many "real talk" tweets, he just came off like a jerk. It's probably just some frustration talking, so I wouldn't really think too much of it.

I said where is his official release, this entire thread is about a reported release and the debate about where he is even currently under contract to be released as he signed a 1 yr deal last offseason.
It's definitely a confusing thing. And, officially, there has not ben an NFL transaction for Michael Thomas. So, he has not been terminated. Jameis Winston was terminated on March 13th and designated a post June 1st cut.

So, what's the hold up, if it really is going to be a termination? MT might have a point here.
