I just don’t get it. Why mess with perfection as there’s not a single helmet in the nfl that can sniff our jock when it comes to it. If they wanna do it for a select game every year, go for it but please no more than that. I will say I hated the idea of the different units but the white color rush with our helmets is the sickest uniforms in all of sports today.

The designer(s) just needed a real stripe (or stripes) down the middle. They were so close to making a really good alternate helmet. But they blew it.

Completely agree. This black helmet looks like arena football too. Hope it’s never used more than once per season.

I can live with the idea of the black helmet being used on a few rare occasions.
But to ever lose our classic gold helmet would be a crime of epic proportions.
Please don't let us turn into the Falcons! I'm begging here!

It’s cool up close but from far it loses detail. It would get old quick and is not as iconic as the gold helmet.

These don’t have the decals on yet, so they’ll look a little better, but I’m not a fan either way. Gold helmets are so much a part of the identity of the Saints, they don’t look like the Saints without them.

People need to relax with that. It isn't like they changed to black permanently.
