In a draft that was deep in WR and TE per Loomis I am just surprise we have not drafted one with only 1 pick remaining
Maybe they think there will be some good ones going undrafted and it's better value to use picks on other positions. Or my theory is we're gonna trade for Renfrow after the draft. Raiders already added Jakobi Meyers and drafted Tre Tucker in the 3rd round that can play the slot, Renfrow is kinda redundant for them. We also could still end up signing Moreau and put him on the Non-Football Injury list. Chances are he'll be ready to play mid season

He can play slot CB, SS, and FS. He has awesome versatility. He runs a 4.43 40. He had a 40 inch vertical. He started 49 career games in the Big 10, I love this kid.
His versatility will help him make the team while giving him opportunities to get on the field. I like guys who are flexible enough to serve as depth for multiple positions. He may not be great at any of those positions but he can fill in when needed while he develops and play special teams.

Hi all,

Just came to comment on Jordan Howden.

I think you got a good one here.

He came to Minnesota as preferred walk-on. He got tossed into a starting role early due to roster depletion. HE DID NOT LOOK GOOD in his first year. Gopher fans were hating on the poor guy. He was in over-his-head but didn't quit fighting, failing, learning.

He has gotten better each year. Became a better tackler and learned from Antoine Winfield Jr.

If you remember watching a Thursday night game a couple years ago, Gophers vs Ohio State, many fans will remember it was the game Mo Ibrahim got hurt in it. When Minnesota was leading at halftime, Mo was healthy and so was Jordan Howden. Howden got injured early 2nd half and got pulled out of the game by medical staff. THAT is when the game turned and suddenly we were getting torched by the talented OSU wide receivers.

He played against CJ Stoud, Chris Olave... and it was after he got hurt than we got really depleted in the secondary.
He's a good tackler. Strong special teamer. Ran track in high school.
He'll be a 4 year guy on your roster and you'll love him if that's what you expect.

Good luck to Jordan. Huge fan of the kid! From preferred walk-on to the NFL!

We're not just looking for bodies right now, that will come later with the UDFAs. Everyone we've drafted has a great chance to stick. As for wr, there is no one out there better than our top 3 guys. Especially considering we'll likely sign at least 1 more veteran wideout when the dust settles. Mabye re-sign Landry

Watching the draft, I'd bet a dollar the club has a line on a veteran wide out after the draft, either in free agency or via trade. There was some speculation during the first round of free agency that the Saints were angling to get Hunter Renfro from the Raiders. I'd bet they've got some move like that in their back pocket.
On tight end, I don't know. Obviously they liked Foster Moreau and maybe his treatment will allow him to come back this year, though that would be surprising. Impact TEs are hard to find and expensive to pay, which is why you want to draft them. Obviously the team had good luck finding Juwan Johnson as an undrafted guy, so maybe there is somebody like him they like this year. We'll see...
