Trade Talk Saints should trade for Tanner McKee. He’s better than Rattler or Haener and has WAY more upside than Carr. (6 Viewers)

McKee is currently the 3rd string QB for Philadelphia, but the kid can play. He has great size, a big arm, and sneaky athleticism. He looked good in real action last this past season, and his best days are ahead of him.
Cut Carr and eat that cap pain immediately… trade for McKee and watch him win the job. Kellen

Moore knows all about the kid, and I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see him go after him.

I was a big fan of this kid coming out of Stanford, and all he’s done since is gain knowledge and experience… he just needs an opportunity.

I’d be down … but have no expectation that Howie Roseman will give McKee away just because he’s third-string.

Heck, when he hears it’s Mickey Loomis on Line 1, Roseman will probably push for a second-round pick back.

Sadly true. Roseman would likely have Loomis grab his ankles.

If the price was a 4th or later though? Pull the trigger.

But most of all, the kid can play!

Big arm, smart, and has some mobility. Moore has coached him as well… and saw him lead the team successfully in regular season action
Watched the last week of the season when he started. Granted it was a meaningless game for the Eagles who rested a lot of starters but the kid can sling it.

He was one of the guys I wanted out of the draft.

I wonder what it would take to get him, or any other promising young QB that could come in and compete. McKee was a 6th round pick, has been in the league for 2 season and has thrown 45 passes (4 TDs though). What would it take to get him? A 5th?

A 5th would seem reasonable… but it’s the Eagles… AND it’s the Saints.

A 4th would be OK by me… but anything more, no way.

Still though… I think McKee can be a starter in the league.

…and a good one at that

If the Iggles really liked McKee, he’d be ahead of Kenny Pickett on the depth chart.

TBH, I like McKee more than Pickett! McKee has a higher ceiling.
If McKee had gone to Pitt when Pickett was there… McKee would have been the QB.

Plus… How freakin awesome would it be if the Saints got back to being a contender by stealing a QB off of the Eagles?!?!?
