Trade Talk Saints should trade for Tanner McKee. He’s better than Rattler or Haener and has WAY more upside than Carr. (7 Viewers)

QBs taken BEFORE Tanner McKeee in the same draft:

Bryce Young
CJ Stroud
Anthony Richardson
Will Levis
Herndon Hooker
Jake Haener
Stetson Bennett
Aiden O'connell
Clayton Tune
Dorian Thompson-Robinson
Sean Clifford
Jaren Hall

12 Quarterbacks were drafted before McKee, and he has played 1 game against the worst team in the NFL, in which he performed meh. He played for a team who's robust offensive line provides the 2nd longest time to throw in the NFL.

In the NFL we have seen Tanner McKee play against practice squad players in preseason, and the Giants.

In College his win loss ratio is abysmal, and his stats are wholly unimpressive.

The NFL is filled with professional talent evaluators, and he went in the 6th round despite being 11 ft tall, having a strong arm, and being highly intelligent.

There hasn't been any legitimate reason to think he's "the one" and he hasn't had to run for his life the way rattler has.

There is NOTHING on tape to suggest he's better than Rattler. Rattler has significantly better escapability and can create with his legs, Rattler is significantly more athletic, significantly besting McKee in 40 time, Vertical, and Shuttle time. Rattler has every bit of the arm talent that McKee does.

Tanner McKee is taller and has the assumption of intelligence that comes with a Stanford education, and beyond that, there is nothing that suggests he's better than Rattler.

If he is not clearly better than Rattler then we should pass on him. We can definitely upgrade over Rattler and Haener in the offseason. No reason in the world we should be in the same position at qb as we were last season. Moore should be able to upgrade the position.

It was showing up in preseason. JT O Sullivan actually did a breakdown on him. He was making some starter level throws.

Fields is a perennial loser and bust, need to get the stench of losing out of the locker room. Would rather bring in a Flacco who can mentor Rattler. Rattler is plenty young
We need to move on from last seasons debacle. Moore should be able to bring in some fresh faces to compete and push Carr.

A guy I would like to see us get, maybe not trade for him. He's a RFA in 26 so he'd probably come cheap is Tyson Bagent. I think he has starter potential. He has a better arm than Rattler and is super poised and I think he has great upside

Moving on from last years debacle should 100% include cutting Carr. I have absolutely no issue with new faces on cheap deals

I don’t agree with your 100 percent, but cutting Carr if there is a viable alternative should be on the table. I think if Moore brings in a young prospect he’ll likely give him a year to develop before starting him, the other alternative is to sign a vet with experience, which would likely cost too much.

I liked McKee in last years draft. I can't remember why I thought this (it was a year ago) but I saw him as a 5 or so year project that would find success in the latter half of his career as a starter. But a team, with good offensive coaches and scheming would have to work with him for a while. Because of that I highly doubt he's ready to take over a team yet. But here's the deal. I'll trust Moore on that. If that's his guy, im good for it.
