Look, I firmly believed we needed to add speed and thump to the front seven, so this is fine, but what does this do to our LB rotation?

More depth; more package specialization. Isnt a bad thing.

A staple of Davis’ first tenure with the Jets was watching him get burned in coverage. Watching him defend a wheel route was particularly painful. In 2017, PFF noted that Davis allowed only 342 yards in coverage in 470 snaps. That 0.73 yards allowed per snap was third best in the NFL at inside

YAS!!! Davis is dope. W/the talent we have on D, he's the sideline to sideline talent we need at the MIKE. He also plays outside and can moonlight at the EDGE. LOVE IT!!! Now we dont need to reach on a LB in the draft.

This is pretty big. Not sure if he will play Will here or Sam here but with Robinson/Coleman/Demario they've officially replaced Kenny the Safety/Slot/Sam LB

What I see right now is

WLB - Anzalone/Robertson
MLB - Klein/Te'o
SLB - Davis/Stupar

Since the Sam position is a 2 down spot and Anzalone seems like you may not be able to rely on him for heavy snaps they could also choose to play Anzalone at sam in base(what he played in college) and Davis at WLB.

Regardless they spot filled nearly everything on D. The need Edge/DT right now and that's it.


If they can pull of a DT in FA they could really set themselves up to go QB or Passrusher at 27

He played at Arkansas St. He is a Semi-local boy he is from Brandon Mississippi which is a suburb of Jackson. So, if he still have any family there it's an easy shot from there to New Orleans on I-55 to watch him play.
