Saints sign WR Brandin Cooks to a 2-year, $13 million deal

The Saints could win the SB and Sigler will find the one or two things he couldn’t stand about them making and winning the SB and write some BS article
You mentioned his name. Same as a click. Mission accomplished.

Hella interesting, because you now have 3 similar sized guys w/ similar traits and weaknesses.

Whose odd man out?
I think it's an insurance policy, Olave and Shaheed can't stay healthy. Luckily, Cooks has been healthy most of his career.

If Saints can hit on a TE and WR in the draft, they will suddenly have a very good offensive unit with good depth

only way that happens is if olave doesnt get hurt this year and has a 1,300 yard season lol.
Would also have to apply the fifth year option before May 1 this year which I don’t believe is going to happen.

The one thing I have noticed, no one has mentioned any guarantees. From my understanding, if he doesn’t make the team we owe him nothing.
Depends on how the contract is worked. There could have a signing bonus of $4M which is guaranteed.

We’ve (you and I) been contemplating that move since last year. He’s an asset similar to what Lattimore was and is a piece of the new core we started building in 2022 that hasn’t exactly panned out like we thought.

Add that to Olaves brother saying him risking his career in New Orleans wasn’t worth it and a potential divorce has always had some legs to it

I’m still interested in a move to #1
I think moving on from him would be the smartest business move right now. For Olave, skipping a year would be the right move to help get his head on straight.

I hate how people resort to this......as if the Saints have made so many good decisions the last few years that they dont deserve criticism. Loomis has alot of proving to do before everything he does just gets believed as great.
