Saints sign WR James Washington to one year deal (released on August 15) (1 Viewer)

That's a nice picture you've taken of your shoes. Aren't you the same person who said we had the best group of pass catchers in the league? Have a nice day.

You literally can't say anything on here no matter how rational without black and gold blinded homers jumping down your throat aggressively. I am sorry for suggesting Derek Carr could play better as a Saint than when he was a Raider. Peace.

Peace out to the guy who doesnt care if WR5 is kermit the frog.

As if players don't get injured, and depth doesn't matter.

You have taken my OP completely wrong. It is hypothetical. If we have another poor season will you not blame at least one of the above? That is what I was saying. I wasn't making the prediction we are going to be bad, I never said that at all. Come on man.
That wasn't the point at all that I was trying to make. We were posting about the SIGNING of James Washington and how he can benefit our offense. Then it gets thread-jacked into talking about the coaches, management and the QB. That's the point I'm trying to make.

Someone made the comment that 100% of the blame would be on Pete regarding the offense and I peacefully responded with my own personal opinion explaining who else and why I wouldn't just hold Pete solely responsible. Not sure what is wrong with that. At no point was I bashing anybody. Then yes, it got hijacked by someone attacking the fact I suggested DC could and should play better in NO than at the Raiders, which judging by a lot of posts on here, people agree as they think the Raiders actually held him back. Not to mention the seemingly good job the FO has done at rebuilding the roster. Which is a valid point.

Okay, listen.

I am sorry for the aggressive nature of my responses.

However, let's re-evaluate the discussion.

You have stated several times that you didn't think that Carr had performed well the last several seasons. I posted his stats from the last several season, and asked which season you thought was an underperformance.

Instead of acknowledging that he had not underperfomed, you make a "math error" that misrepresents his actual performance.

Then you post a hypothetical about him playing 9 years in New Orleans and posting the same stats.

Then I corrected your math error and explained that your hypothetical would put him in top 5 of all time.

So instead of admitting your wrong, you state the 9 years would never happen.

You are talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Saints only have one bonafide stud in the team and thats olave. MT has to show he can stay healthy, Shaheed cant rely on the element of surprise anymore, Edwards and Washington are guys with potential that fell off, and they have to show they can bounce back. TQS is a mediocre WR and Merrit is still developing... so the WR is still far from stable... bring in as much competition as you can.

You literally came in here whizzing on everyone cornflakes and called it "realism" when you are clearly talking out your backside.

Outside of last season (When he made the ProBowl) Carr has NOT underperformed in recent seasons and WR Depth matters, so you cannot "have kermit the frog" as WR5.

Then you said you wouldn't engage with someone with Carr as an Avatar about Carr, and here we are 3 pages later.

I'll try to be more polite in telling you that you dont know what you are talking about.

I didn't come whizzing into anything. I said IF our Offense is similar to last year, then Pete will not be the only person who deserves blame. We have built our roster around DC.

Talking out my backside for stating that I do not think 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions will make our offense vastly different from last year? We may scrape a weak NFC South but anything more than that I do not think it is unreasonable to state he will have to put up better numbers. Why is that wrong? Yards are all good and well but it is not a great representation unless it coverts to touchdowns. Even JW has posted a 5k season.

You keep mentioning pro bowls but the pro bowl has been a joke for a long time. I think we have moved past the stage of judging players on pro bowl appearances. He made the pro bowl last season despite your own admission of underperforming.

I know exactly what I am talking about and I am not a clown or an idiot for expecting Carr to do better in NO than he did at the Raiders.

For your own sake I will repeat. DC is a decent QB. I am going to leave it there and let you be mad for whatever reason.

Maybe we can agree on the Saints having a better season and making the playoffs. Who Dat.

Back to the original topic - I think Washington is a really good signing.

Dang I remember it was this signing that sparked the “we have the best stable of pass catchers in the league” lmao
I thought he would outlast Edwards due to more experience, I wonder if he never really recovered from his injury? I don't really remember any news about him during camp.

I still stand by that statement.
The pushback was terrible. That was really pointless that some got mad at saying your team’s receivers are among the best Overall WR group in the league,
based on two past and current elite WRs, an extremely high ceiling WR3, and, at the time of this signing, vet depth WR4/5 who was a productive starter in Pitt on paper before rookie talent just outplayed him post-injury. It was weird

Would’ve thought someone was referring to a group of Olave and then TQS/Lynn Bowden/Kirklin
