Good hire for the Saints. Don’t care about LSU as I really believe most Saints fans feel the same way. There’s a small faction of LSU Saints fans, but most of us only care about the Saints when it comes to football. I do like the fact that the staff is getting younger And hopefully that corresponds with the roster becoming younger as well.

Yeah, it’s quite a leap to say that most Saints fans don’t care about LSU.

I live in Baton Rouge and graduated from LSU and grew up watching them - but I would trade LSU ever winning a natty again for some more Saints Super Bowls.

The college game has just lost all of its charm with the NIL system and watered down playoffs.

Also, when the Saints needed a place to play in their most desperate hour in 2005, a large portion of LSU fans in Baton Rouge were less than supportive and welcoming of the Saints playing in “hallowed” Tiger Stadium. I was really disappointed that the weird LSU/Saints “rivalry” couldn’t be put aside to be more welcoming and supportive.

The super late coaching hire is probably why the Saints felt they had to poach LSU because all of the good DLine coaches are taken. It’s also why we’re hiring so many college coaches in general, imo.

Maybe and possible but he’s also long considered one of the best DL coaches in nation so that opposes the suggestion of all the good ones being taken doesn’t it?

One thing I like about hiring these college coaches is that it also serves as adding to the scouting department. They're going to have insights on not only their own players but every kid that they tried to recruit. It could pay dividends over the next few draft classes.

And this is a DL heavy draft. The moment to have a superior analysis and scouting of DLs is this draft!

The poll essentially shows at least 50% of the people on this board are LSU fans. And that number would be far higher if this board just had people from Louisiana on it.

LOL TV #s mean extremely little to nothing when it comes to judging if Saints fans are also LSU fans SMH
