that starter wasnt even worth a 6th round pick. It took a 7th plus "our starter" to get a 6th! That should tell you what the starter is actually worth on the market. Troutman was a converted Qb I believe that never really took.

I think Moreau is in our future if he can get healthy. But we might need a one-year vet (bring back Dan Arnold for the heck of it ) to allow Taysom to still take a few snaps per game

This is an example how meaningless "starter" means in the NFL. Just doesn't hold much weight. Bad player gets to start. Dalton was a starter too.

Trautman was an effective and balanced starting TE that was coming into his own as a TE. To compound matters, the position was already a spot of need anyway, trading it away for a gamble hardly seems prudent.
