And shockingly their 2nd round pick is more valuable than their 3rd...

If it wasn't on the table and what we accepted was better than what the other offers were then he has no point other than whining.

I was just answering the question the guy asked. I don't know why that comparison was posted. I'm assuming he was responding to someone who claimed three picks is better than one.

If he goes to Washington and balls out immediately it will prove that a lot about his character.

He's been a walking injury for the last 3 seasons in a row and hasn't been a shut down corner for just as long.

I've never said anything but I've questioned his passion and dedication for a while now.

It was good while it lasted but it hasn't been good for quite a while.

His injuries in '22 and '23 were legitimate, serious injuries. Which unfortunately doesn't bode well for an aging Corner. I'm not sure how healthy he really was and wasn't this year, but no matter how anyone slices it, he was getting older and missing a lot of games.

There was a lot of smoke that he was going to be cut next season anyway, so this at the worst is a simple "better to get something than nothing" situation.

Washington clearly won, they got a shut down corner for the next 2-3 years.

Saints clearly won, they got rid of a disgruntled player whose injuries (fake or otherwise) were keeping him from playing and got 3 picks.

If Marshawn was not leaving games with a 'hamstring injury' I might say the Saint's lost as he is a Pro Bowl level player. Either he is going to be injured for the next few years or is faking and doesn't want to be here. Either way the Saints didn't have a lot of choice but to move him.

Well, the window closed with the Saints making just one move trading Lattimore.

There most likely wasn't any serious interest from other teams with any other Saints players. We may here something about that later.

What am I looking at here?

You're looking at Siegler being Siegler. He has no idea what he is talking about half the time. I have no idea why he is trying to use the trade value chart to figure out who won a player for picks trade or how he is even doing it? Maybe he's assuming Lattimore's value is the #11 pick we used on him 7 years ago?

This is just great. They trade him AFTER the expiration AMEX jersey guarantee.

I think he's demonstrating that the commanders earlier 3rd...that they got from the Eagles for Dotson....is more valuable than the three picks we got from the commanders.

Thanks. I mean that's probably true, but you can't make them give you the pick you want. I'm sure the Saints tried to get it and they refused.

I think we have enough promising depth behind him that we didnt lose a lot. Really liked him but this subtraction wont hurt us more than we already are. The draft capital is worth it and I dont hate the Commanders.

What am I looking at here?

Sigler wrote an article with a headline insinuating that Loomis overlooked asking for Washington better pick and that he dropped the ball…it reads almost as if he thought the Saints weren’t aware of that Washington had a better third round pick.

A reader somewhat kind of called him out about it, and Sigler came back with his snide remarks about the reader paying for Twitter before justifying his take with a new argument that went different from the headline’s theme, regarding the value difference of said picks we got being worse than Washington’s higher pick.

Just a weird exchange overall based on an odd article headline premise.

Loomis should have gotten the 3rd pick Washington got from Dolphins. I'm pretty sure the Dolphins will have an earlier pick than Washington. Pretty big mistake. Imo.
