I’m glad we were able to get this much value for him. He was a good player for us but his body language on the sideline the last two season really pissed me off. My seats are right behind our bench and he usually had a IDGAF look on his face and acted disinterested and not very leader like, call it what you will but as our best DB and being paid like I boss I expected more out of him. You never see DD or Cam act how Lattimore did on the sidelines

If they’re cut or retired, you’re looking at about 33mil in dead money spread out over the next 4 years between the two. The closest, upcoming years will hurt more, but the only way out is straight through. After 2025 we could be in pretty good shape if we manage the next 2 offseasons correctly.

I bet his hammy magically heals up and with better coaches he will return to his past form.

Mickey Loomis can't make trade deals for jack. The Broncos fleeced us with a 6th rounder for Lutz and if the trade deadline was yesterday you may have noticed Loomis did absolutely nothing to improve the team

Will have to agree to disagree on this, in my opinion the only way to get better long term is by getting more draft picks, which is exactly what we did

I agree and building depth with young, affordable (rookie contract) talent.

Right now we are a thin team with too many aged starters.

Have to get younger and deeper. Only way to do that is to stock up on picks. Only way to do that is to trade away proven talent.

I said earlier - a shutdown CB on a 2-7 is a luxury we can’t afford. We needed to leverage our solid talent for picks.
