Reggie Bush was also at WM24 and was hanging around Snoop Dogg’s trailer most of the afternoon on Sunday. My sources tell me that the New York Giants are going to trade outstanding TE Jeremy Shockey to Bush’s Saints, prior to the NFL draft. Shockey is an Oklahoma kid from Ada who told me last week he was looking forward to playing for the Saints. If any NFL player was tailor made for the WWE, it is JeremyShockey and the Chicago Bears’ Dusty Dvoracek.

I don't know what type of sources a wrestling commentator has, but if he spoke with Shockey and he said he was looking forward to being a Saint you'd have to believe they aren't far from a deal.

I'm going to say 75% on the story being complete BS. Shockey was probably borrowing the phone to order a pizza and told the delivery kid if he can't get it there in 25 minutes he'll find someone else that can.

As far as Shockey as a Saint: How could you not love it? I thought one thing we lacked as an offense is attitude. Asides from the Ox(Jamaal Brown) we don't have many meanies on offense. As you could see from our complete lack of run blocking for most of the season, I think we could use the help. Shockey is a pretty good run blocker. I could see Reggie running for 15 and Shockey picking him off from the ground, slapping him in the head, and knocking him back down. It'd be nice.

they knew that shockey is unhappy .... they were checking rosters and they were digging out the old myth that brees needs a Receiving TE , while checking saints roster of famous names on TE , this is how the rumors started

I don't know what type of sources a wrestling commentator has, but if he spoke with Shockey and he said he was looking forward to being a Saint you'd have to believe they aren't far from a deal.

No, this was actually the rumor that was started by a NT paper. The phony AF joke was someone claiming it was a done deal for Harper and a 3rd rounder.

Anyhoo... Get the deal done already... Shockey owning the middle of the field will make this offense even sicker than it is. Question is... who gets the heave-ho? Miller? probably not... Johnson? probably so...

Shockey definitely will make our O sicker and his blocking will help us as well.

I think those who fear of his "personality and attitude", shouldn't be. Payton will let him know once he hits the building to not act up and then Shockey will end up straightening out.

I think EJ will most likely get cut then Miller, or we can keep EJ and cut Campbell who is a decent blocker for us but injury prone. Though, Shockey as a #1 TE and Miller with his skills as a #2 TE will make our TE corps beastly.

Remember Payton was on the staff(OC) when shockey was drafted so he has a knowledge of shockey. Whos to say he may have had a hand at drafting for him.
