Count me on board for bringing in Shockey. I have always liked his style of play and he would immediately bring a presence to the middle of the field that we haven't had here since Wesley Walls. And that was with a really crappy offense.

i think shockey would do well here. if we can get him for a 3rd or less, i'd take it. I wouldn't give up a 2nd though. there should still be a starting calibur defensive player available at the 10th pick in round 2.

If Shockey Becomes a Saint, i don't really care how bad his attitude is, as long as he can block and keep players off our RB and Drew im ok with anything else.

I think he'll like it in New Orleans in his last couple of years playing in the NFL anyways.

I'm pretty sure it's a conditional 3rd/4th next year and our 4th this year. Although, I probably wouldn't want to trade next year's 2nd because, if all goes well with Vilma, we would be left with only one day 1 pick.

Everything I've seen reported said 2nd or 3rd...with us receiving a 4th back...just as the ESPN link above says.

That story may very well have been BS.. but the fact is NYG and NO have been negotiating a trade... evident by last week's leak that the Jointz wanted Harper in the deal and the Saints didn't buckle.

So we'll just need to wait and see what happens.

I'm going to say 75% on the story being complete BS. Shockey was probably borrowing the phone to order a pizza and told the delivery kid if he can't get it there in 25 minutes he'll find someone else that can.

As far as Shockey as a Saint: How could you not love it? I thought one thing we lacked as an offense is attitude. Asides from the Ox(Jamaal Brown) we don't have many meanies on offense. As you could see from our complete lack of run blocking for most of the season, I think we could use the help. Shockey is a pretty good run blocker. I could see Reggie running for 15 and Shockey picking him off from the ground, slapping him in the head, and knocking him back down. It'd be nice.
