I didn't run and look up his salary. I was just reminded of how college coaches are payed anyway...

Maybe he likes his teams a little (lot) on the trashy side?Loomis: "Hey Marcus wanna leave ND, a team you've built up and got into the CFB for a pro team with no QB, no Pro Bowler, no All pro, no cap space, aging roster, and almost zero young talent?".
Marcus: Nah
Bc we need an overhaul of culture. If we are stuck with aging vets, that we can not cut/release, then we need someone who can get them up on Sundays. Personally, I feel like a guy who has coached in the NFL (in any capacity) is the best fit for that. If our roster was already super young, then yes, I’d say he would work. Regardless of how the college football landscape sorta resembles the NFL, with players getting paid and transferring (like free agency), the NFL is still a different animal in totality. Plus, he’s not leaving ND. He has no good reason to leave that placeWhy not? Hes young, can relate to todays athlete. I get the vibe he can get the most of a roster.
huhI want to see coaches build up a team because some of the college coaches were left with good rosters. The Saints need someone that can build instead of step in.
I'm not even a ND fan, but this is such a nonsensical take.I think Freeman is great!!!… so long as he’s playing against a crippled team with a 1st time starting QB, and the refs in his pocket… and NOT against Northern Illinois at South Bend.
Gimme a Freakin break! This game was a farce! As a Saints fan, you have to know what “the fix” looks like! WAKE TF UP!
Yeah one bad ND coach in Louisiana is enough. I don't understand this love for ND. They always play a cream puff schedule, that's as hard as whipped butterNo
Nough
And
Neaux
While true their schedule isn't great, they've won 12 straight games and have beaten TAMU, Indiana and now UGA. I'm not a fan but they're definitely for real. I see them beating PSU and facing tOSU in the championship game.Yeah one bad ND coach in Louisiana is enough. I don't understand this love for ND. They lead the NCAA in turnovers forced, and have scored 148 points off of those turnovers, the next closest team had 42 less points off of turnovers. Their defense is solid if not great, even considering the fairly weak schedule. They're playing whoever is in front of them.Go look at QBs and the passing games his defenses faced and come back and tell me he should be an NFL head coach. He is Luke Fickell only with better players. He thinks the offense is on the field to run clock, give HIS defense rest and shorten the game so that his defensive stats will be impressive.
TAMU was overrated, as was Indiana. Georgia lost their starting QB, so I still can’t give them much props for beating a backup QB.While true their schedule isn't great, they've won 12 straight games and have beaten TAMU, Indiana and now UGA.
