Probably. People need to adjust their expectations for what a normal Sunday is for an average to above average QB.It's from where I think a lot of the distaste for Carr comes.

Brees was brought up as a means of pointing out that Carr is unfairly maligned by the fan base due to having to follow the soon-to-be Hall of Famer. It's actually not about negativity.Like we could have kept this thread about Carr, and instead Brees is brought up... it's as if people seek out negativity.
Let's also keep in mind that once Derek Carr's career is over and thoroughly analyzed and reviewed, he'll be remembered as being a far greater, more successful Pro Bowl QB and more efficiently vindicated his first round draft status when juxtaposed to his older brother, David's, runaway train wreck of a career. Why is it even a thing when they aren't on the same team, situations aren't the same, and both of them played great today? DC4 played a great game today but it's crazy trying to downplay a player accounting for 400 yards of total offense. Let us enjoy this beautiful win.
Facts....been saying for years that we (as a fanbase) suck at QB evaluation because we were spoiled on Drew and even then, we looked at the totality of Drew through tinted shades.
He’s been good all year! I’m shocked at how he’s turned MVS into Shaheed 2.0.Carr was rocking today against the Browns.
I know! He played really well.
I did so to point out how the fanbase's seeming distaste or discomfort with Carr (including mine, when I do it) is unfair.Could have just said that instead of unnecessarily comparing him to Drew.
You know you stop that? You don't bring it into a thread shouting out Carr for a good game. Every Carr thread doesn't need this discussion in it.Brees was brought up as a means of pointing out that Carr is unfairly maligned by the fan base due to having to follow the soon-to-be Hall of Famer. I don't do it in every Carr thread, so crisis averted. You know you stop that? You don't bring it into a thread shouting out Carr for a good game. Every Carr thread doesn't need this discussion in it.
we really have to look at him as an all-time great not easily replicated. When the team had historically terrible defense that couldnt stop rookies, he willed us to no less than 7 wins basically by himself. When the team was complete we ranged 10-6 to 13-3 and a Super Bowl and he pulled off those big win seasons far more often than not.Why is it even a thing when they aren't on the same team, situations aren't the same, and both of them played great today? DC4 played a great game today but it's crazy trying to downplay a player accounting for 400 yards of total offense. Let us enjoy this beautiful win.

But you've since seen the other posts, so you could assume that I'm telling the truth when I tell you what I was doing.I saw nothing in your post about the unfairness of comparing Carr to Drew. It is unfair and completely unnecessary.
