It looks like the front line hung around Charleston longer than forecast. Y'all got snow all night long. You were about 30 minutes off! Steady snow now, heavier at times
Was there an unexpected temp drop?
Woke up this morning to 16°
I don’t think that was forecasted
Yes — lows about 5-7F lower than forecast in the NOLA area. Looks like some areas to our west dropped even more from the forecast lows. Was there an unexpected temp drop?

The low temperature forecast for last night had to be revised due to the amount of snow that fell yesterday. When you couple the clear skies & calm winds with the deep snow all over southern Louisiana, it produced an 'ice box' effect where the snow contributed to the air temperature readings. This is why the low temperatures in south Louisiana was actually colder than areas above McComb, MS where they got far less snow pack. No doubt the remaining snow tonight will once again cause the temperatures to plummet quickly once the sun goes down. Was there an unexpected temp drop?

Yes. Dang Italians.
If there’s ever a next time, I’m going to employ a tip I sawSo how long do we think before the snow starts really melting? Looking at the temperatures, maybe 10? Or does it not work like that
