I wonder how cool the lake is right now. I would have thought it might have been warm enough and the bridge low enough to keep that from happening. Or maybe it's the warmth of the lake that's causing it in combination with the cold wind.

It was at 46 degrees...

Thing is about bridges and overpasses, cold affects both the underside and the surface, that's why they always freeze first and thaw last..

Those photos tell the story ...not a single plow during storm to remove as it was falling and accumulating. They just allowed it to accumulate 24 miles each way. No wonder it's not open. The top layer is reflecting sun and insulating the ice layer at base.

I like the way they were using front-end loaders and could just dump the snow in the lake...

Front end loaders aren't good for snow removal unless they have the proper attachments like
a snow blade. The local tractor supply won't have those in stock in our area. They made matters
worse on Keesler

Why are people hoarding ice cream now? I went to the grocery to find hardly any BlueBell ice cream. I must say Kemps is a pretty good ice cream.

Could just be they haven’t got deliveries, there was a lot of out of stock stuff when I was on WM’s site last night

Just brought my daughter to the airport to go to DC Mardi Gras (friend is queen of Zulu). It is a bit of a mess at the end of vets. If you need to travel, plan to add 20 min to get to Armstrong.
