Sneaux next week [Historic snowstorm in southeast Louisiana on January 21, 2025] (6 Viewers)

No choice. According to WVUE, they're only looking to open one lane in each direction for first responders only.

I made it as far as NO East/michoud before turning back - every place I tried was blocked
and DUDE michoud out past where Jazzland used to be - that place is nightmare full even in full daylight

Around 830 this morning, I made it FROM Slidell to the dome via hwy 11 and the chef.

Ran about an hour and a half of errands driving on the surface streets and main drags of Gretna and Terrytown. There are a few traffic lights out, but otherwise it was close to traffic as normal. Any true slick ice patches are apparently gone around here, though there is still some lingering slush on roadways that have been in shadow a long while (e.g. under the WB Expressway). People have driven ruts through the slush, though, so traction is fine.

i went to a dentist appointment today and stopped at Zuppardo's on the way back....Metry was pretty normal...

it got up to 46 at my house and a significant amount of snow and slush is gone

NOLA schools remain closed
my school announced that it was opening but then when St Tammany (and most other north shore schools remained closed, mine reversed course

I got to get my grass done...
