So Can We Overreact Now? (2 Viewers)

you never ever ever ever ever allow a modern NFL kicker a chance to win the game. Analytics suck. we went for it on 4tfh and 5th in our redzone. Always take the points. That is all. Back to lurking.

we lost a division game to stupidity. always always always take points when available. i turned the TV off when we didnt convert. I knew what was coming

I don’t understand this.
It’s not bad it was just bad?

I don’t understand.
It wasn’t bad just bad?

Same HC same QB same (or worse) results.

Nothing will change until real changes are made.
It wasn't a throw into coverage, it just got deflected off of a D-lineman and bounced perfectly high enough for a pick-six. It wasn't a bad read, he just didn't throw it wide enough.

Always sucks to lose but a lot of teams are 2-2 in the NFC everything is still right in front of the team season is still young. You'd like them to win these close games but once again turnovers and penalties will cost you big time the margin for error is small.

This is a good team suffering through injuries that will hopefully improve.

I feel better about our long term season than I did before today.

But doom away.

Unfortunately…. This is exactly what I was expecting. And was branded negative for it. So no need for me to overreact. I fully expected to be somewhere like 4-6 after 10 games…. Then make a push…. Then fall short.

The team has some talent. Too many bad decisions being made in the expected fashion. Too many bad draft picks. Too many aging money players. Too many good players being let to walk. No depth and no eye for the future.

It’s who we are now. And it’s going to be that way until we wipe the slate clean and start over in earnest.

Even so. That would at least be a reason for hope and excitement. Whoever said football purgatory…. Nailed where this team is and will be until the hard decisions are made.

Then this team absolutely cannot win as currently constructed. Because it needs perfect health in order to be competitive; as any injury highlights how the cupboard is bare. I honestly believe if Taysom Hill was healthy, we'd be 4-0 right now. Maybe this is for the best because barnstroming for 12-14 weeks and then getting thin with injuries in the playoffs would do us no good.

But literally every team will suffer injuries.

Andrus, tell him what he's won!

Absolutely nothing.

So what are you saying? I was saying he should’ve spiked it and taken the call anyway but that was after knowing the result of that fluke play.
Hindsight is so very crystal clear isn't it. It was as fluke a play as I've seen in yrs

Team doesn't know how to pull out close wins consistently. The veterans that are hanging around from the Brees era were spoiled and didn't realise how much he carried them and DA has never known.

Or just act accordingly? I mean we had people making fun of other people "overacting" last week. Now they look stupid. I am just curious you want the team to succeed but when you know your team is headed in the wrong direction and another playoff miss and possible losing season. At what point do you come to terms that maybe you were wrong all a long? This isn't a I told you so type thread just asking the sunshine pumpers and excuse makers exactly what were you expecting this team to do? Yeah had two great weeks of football and totally collapse the next two. We are who we are always going to be a middling team until we get a generational QB again. I think we all can be fans of the team but have some honest expectations on where this team is at and where it will remain.
Everyone should be settled in by now. Allen and Carr equal .500 seasons.
