So will NOLA have to wait more then 10 years again to host next Super Bowl? (26 Viewers)

My friend from KC said "NOLA" should be the permanent SB venue. Everything is close and the food is top notch everywhere. He said that there was no better hospitality than in our city
We can not handle it every year, but a rotation of every three would work.
Do not ask the people of New Orleans to deal with the issues with traffic and parking to this extent every year. They will turn into pissed host.

With the Super Bowl now regularly falling on the second Sunday of Feb., Mardi Gras is now the biggest impediment to hosting the game.

The next available Super Bowl will be 2029, but Fat Tuesday that year is Feb. 13. That would mean Super Sunday is also Bacchus Sunday that year, if the NFL keeps to its current schedule. No way we can swing that.

Mardi Gras 2030 and 2031 are in March (no conflicts) and Feb. 25 (may have to get Krewe de Vieux to go a week early).

Nashville is building a new stadium for the Titans, and it will have a roof, so I'm sure the NFL with want it there one of those upcoming dates. Award them the 2029 game and let's see if NOLA can host Super Bowl LXIV or LXV.

Man if we could get it back in 5 years that would be extraordinary, but I'm extremely skeptical. Too many other markets have more money, plain and simple. Continuing to put forward competitive bids is going to be tough. Same problem with the college football playoffs.

There's near unanimous agreement that Nola is one of the best (if not the best) host sites, but we have shallow pockets.

Hope not, I’m much more concerned about our team just participating in the Super Bowl again someday tho. 😀

I know it’s good for the city to host, I get it. Seems to be a great host too.

I think the NFL picks the halftime show artists. Not a fan of the genre of music that was played last night so it was not entertaining to myself. Some folks may have liked it, but I didn't. However, overall I thought the ole Super Dome last night looked spectacular and I'm sure the folks had a good time in the city. Would like to see New Orleans be in consideration for more SB's.
I think it was fine, even if only aimed at attracting the attention of a younger audience. I do think Kendrick repeatedly dissing/sneak dissing Drake was a little tacky, though. Save that crap for YouTube.

To be fair, it’s a bit confusing. The city of New Orleans ( gnu aw Lunz) is located in “Or Leanz” parish which also has a major street named “or Leanz” ave. Food for Thawt.
Back in the 20th century, Garland Robinette on WWL news, IIRC from St. Charles Parish, used to pronounce it Nyuu OR-lee-unz, even though I think Nyuu OR-lens is more common.

Some family of mine are chiefs fans from KC and they’ve been to every Super Bowl that they’ve been in over the past 6 years. They said without a doubt this was the most enjoyable experience they’ve had by a mile, even after getting their doors blown off. It really seems like the city made a huge impression and I’m proud.

I saw this article the other day. Not sure how legit the complaints are, but it points to a limited number of hotel rooms in New Orleans compared to around some of the newer stadiums going up as a concern...

What’s missing from this article is actual factual information. There are currently 20,000 hotel rooms within walking distance of the Superdome
. That’s more than any other potential Superbowl location. Article is a low key hit job.

Atlanta’s online information says they have 20,000 parking spaces within a 20 minute walk of the stadium. I think this idiot got the 20,000 rooms confused with parking spaces.

We will get ours. And anybody that forks out a few billion for a new stadium deserves one too. Pick a date in the next decade that works with Mardi Gras, and its ours. Nashville deserves a SB and will get one. Buffalo is a crap shoot. Who else is confirmed (as opposed to rumored) to be building a new stadium? Philly and Cleveland may talk the talk, but it will be many years before they actually finish one, if ever. I mean, at a minimum 7-8 years.

20,000 parking spaces as opposed to 20,000 rooms. I would not stay or even park within walking distance of the Falcons stadium.

I think almost everyone that’s been to multiple super bowls would agrees that no place can compete with NOLA. The city, the region, and its people have always been made for it. And when it overlaps with the Marci Gras season, No where can throw a bigger or better party.
I’ve been to three cities hosting Super Bowls, not counting the New Orleans Super Bowls I’ve witnessed in my lifetime. Narrowly missed the SoFi Super Bowl, I was in Los Angeles the weekend prior by circumstance.

Atlanta was pretty good but I was already familiar with the city and knew where to go/avoid
Detroit was meh, or maybe I was just off due to post-Katrina weariness
Glendale did good to condense almost everything after apparently botching that in a previous Super Bowl
