We never know what is said inside of an organization but the way Pickett was handled looks bad.
He was a young player that they possibly gave up on way to quickly...

His heart will always be in Pittsburgh. I think he retires if they don’t want him back. I would not want him for fear he just wouldn’t have the drive for this rebuild and in general to put in the effort to get us back to competitive in the league. Vrabel is Tomlin like and younger with something to prove, although I still think offensive HC the faster way to relevance.

Yeah, I don't believe Wash. wins if Hurts didn't have to leave the game. It allowed their defense to concentrate
on stopping Barkley.

Some Steelers fans should be thanking the football gods they aren't Browns fans. Those parroting that the Steelers have an antiquated O should realize they can only do so much with Pickens as their main weapon right now.

People were until very recently spouting off nonsense such as "Lamar can't throw outside da hash...." until the Ravens started getting WR help.

Does anyone else see the difference between the Bengals' WRs and the others of the division? Their scheme seems so exotic because the WRs are simply getting open-no matter what gets drawn up.

Pickett looked HORRIBLE against Washington.

I think Steelers gave up on him at the right time.

Fields/Wison have been a considerable upgrade for them at the QB position. They have scored more points already this season than any other year since big ben retired.

The level of even-keelness of the Steelers organization going back decades is just otherworldy, really. It's easy to remember the Super Bowls won by Noll and Cowher, but in between the titles, even their "bad" seasons and "bad" stretches overall weren't ever bad enough to land them a top-five pick in the first round on a consistent basis. Under Tomlin, they've not been good enough to win it all since the last time they did it (2008), but they also seem to squeeze out playoff berths, albeit not deep runs, out of rosters that just seem inferior on paper.

I still think it would have been close. The Eagles scored 33 points with Pickett at QB. But a lot of those points were off of turnovers, and 21 of those points came in the first quarter. They couldn't score any TDs in the 2nd half.

Their defense gave up 36 points.

I'd say Eagles win with Hurts, but not by that much.

What I said is the way he was handled was bad.

He should have never been named a starting QB in his rookie year.
He wasn't ready ...He possibly will never be ready.

I know its unlikely.. but if Tomlin were to be fired\resign. I dont see how he wouldnt be #1 on our list... defensive coach or not.

If anything is clear, it's that fans are really dumb and say stupid things on the regular.

With a great O-line and tons of offensive weapons.

that's pedestrian at best.

Well, he probably shouldn't of been drafted where he was. That's the only bad thing I see out of the handling of KP via Pittsburg.
