This is really bad with potential to get much worse if the CloseFire isnt slowed really soon.
It's on fire as much as NO is underwater/getting pummeled by hurricanes & tropical storms. It's a big state with tough terrain and this year has been particularly dry.I'm pretty sure that California is always on fire.
So what I just heard somebody explain was that there had earlier in the year been a wet period for CA causing much larger, prolific brush to grow that is now dry and acting as the fuel for this. It's on fire as much as NO is underwater/getting pummeled by hurricanes & tropical storms. It has been very dry here in SoCal for the past 4 days. My lips are cracked, hair and skin are dry af, eyes burn. The wind is currently HOWLING outside. Perfect fire conditions.
Last winter, it started raining in November and didn't stop until like May-June. (remember we even had a hurricane warning). It rained so much here that I was like wtf am I even living here for, it's raining more here than it did in Texas. We haven't had any meaningful rain since it stopped in May so that would track. So what I just heard somebody explain was that there had earlier in the year been a wet period for CA causing much larger, prolific brush to grow that is now dry and acting as the fuel for this.
