Spoiler Spoiler Thread: Avengers Infinity War (3 Viewers)

Actually this movie is more like Thanos Quest(2 part mini series) combined with Infinity Gauntlet(6 part mini series)

The whole Thanos on the farm/cottage scene happens in the comics after Adam Warlock took the gauntlet from him.

So there are some pretty big differences from the books.

Also, we may very well see silver surfer at some point because marvel did get the rights to the Fantastic Four franchises.
and we're setting up for Hulk vs Thanos.

Who is Capt. Marvel going to be?

You mean the actress or the character? Brie Larson is playing her. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4154664/?ref_=nv_sr_1

-Can someone explain to me why in the name of all that is sacred and holy that when Thor buried that axe in Thanos, he didn't instead cut off his arm/hand with the stones on it??

Well in all fairness, he did throw the axe into Thanos' energy beam (? whatever you want to call that attack from the Gauntlet) both as a shield and to hit Thanos, aiming probably wasn't high on the list. There's also Thor's hot-headed nature. He's probably more focused on giving Thanos a slow death then anything else at that moment.

In review of that IMDB page I see that there are pictures of the Capt. Marvel Comic Con team shot, and Peter Quill and some other “gone” characters. Are those guys going to be coming back?

Captain Marvel is set in 80s.

Gregg Clark will play Coulson on the big screen again.

I couldn't remember where that scene came from until I re-read the last issue. There's a similar scene (not exactly the same though) in Infinity Watch (the first follow-up to the Infinity Gauntlet) when it was revealed that Warlock gave Thanos a gem to guard over.

Apparently Joe Russo confirmed that Valkyrie and other Asgardians left in an escape pod before Thanos attacked. He wouldn't say if Korg was among them.

If Korg is dead, we riot...

Saw it again. Thanos was AMAZING. Brolin's portrayal of him was awesome. So much weight. So many layers.

Thor was THE MAN. They really did right by him.

Spider-Man...this is the best movie iteration of him yet. They NAILED his essence.

Still upset about the Hulk's portrayal in these movies. He gets stronger the angrier he gets, so beating up on him only makes him angrier and stronger. They have REALLY watered him down. Even in the first Avengers when the Chttari overwhelmed him, I was like NO...that isn't how this works. I'm expecting a full on roid-raging fit from him in the next one.

Capt. America, they just did so much right with him.

The emotional depth of the movie was hammered home for me by the kid behind me literally sobbing audibly at the end. I had to help his dad console him.

I actually want to see it a third time.

I definitely wanna own it on DVD.

VERY WELL DONE.

I'm excited at the chance to mentally scar my 12 year old and my wife... haha.
