I agree. I wouldn't think an animated series would cost anywhere near as much as a live-action show. Couple that with the fact that this is a very popular show, this just reeks of Paramount wanting to cut costs.

My guess was Voice talent either on other projects or priced out

Does it any get better or does this level of "humour" remain the same? Because that was awful. I didn't laugh a single time at anything. It was just stupid. Seemed like a middle schooler wrote it.

It certainly does get better, but I would say for Star Trek nerds only. Start at season 2 maybe.

Season 2 was definitely better than season 1. Season 3 and 4 are even better than 2.

Prodigy season 2 was amazing if anyone is holding back on watching it.
