Star Wars: Andor

I also see Benjamin Bratt in the credits for at least one episode which means probably Senator Organa, but I thought he was much more involved with the Rebels than one episode.
I think they keep those under wraps until the show actually release. I've seen a few shows were an actor only has one episode credit, but they appeared in many eps

This might get me to watch something Star Wars related again. Maybe.

If I'm honest about it, all of Star Wars versions leading up to this series are aimed at children and adolescents. The good guys are clear, the bad guys are clear, there are no ambiguous situations and no grey areas.

This series is squarely aimed at adults. It is cerebral and complicated. The good guys do some bad things, some of the bad guys have admirable motives, and the characters (Luthen Rael, for example, who is weaving a web to gain freedom for the galaxy does so at the expense of his own soul, knowing he sends people to their deaths for "the greater good," and sacrificing his entire life and future to exact that freedom for others) are simply brilliantly written. Luthen is an idealist's hero and a terrible person all at the same time. Andor is the guy we're pulling for even though we cringe a bit when he uses other people at times. Even though I find Syril Karn somewhat despicable, I can't help wanting him to break free of his mother's stranglehold on his life even if it means giving over to the Empire (who also has a stranglehold on his life).
There's just so much good about this series and it's sad to know the end has to come shortly since we already know what's going to happen to Andor in the end, which is also not far away on the timeline. You'd think knowing the ending would ruin it all, but it only makes it more intriguing because the writers have done such a great job fleshing out the characters.
April cannot arrive soon enough...

I have never understood this criticism (even though I appreciate that MANY people feel this way, so there must be something to it)
but stories aren't like sports competition - WHAT happens at the end is not the only point - in a good story HOW we get to the end is the actual story

I'm the same way. I obviously don't want spoilers, but I can still enjoy the journey.

Yes exactly. This is what I want more of Star Wars to be. For as many mistakes as Solo made, the gritty Imperial Army battle scene was pretty good and is pretty much the only part I remember. I had high hopes for the sequel trilogy to explore more of this kind of duality with Ben Solo being Kylo Ren, but that was just a major disappointment instead. Andor, however, hit the nail on the head. I hated thinking about that redhead twirp coming to power in the future after Luthen's speech about sacrificing his entire life so people can have freedom only to know it ends up with a bigger Death Star and then multiple individual Death Star ships, but I try to ignore that part since I disavow those movies.
