Starcraft 2 (1 Viewer)

I didnt go crazy.
I just bought a video card which I needed.
MOniter and some speakers, my comp didnt come with a decent vid card.
I left the monitor at home when I moved.
I looked at all the reviews on newegg before I bought these items, and all of these items rated high with good satisfaction.
So it was time for a new one.

Damn, that's a nice price on the monitor. I'm tempted to order one myself. I've always thought that the 9500GT was a terrible card for gaming, but I watched some videos with a guy running one and it was killing SC2.

This has got me itching to upgrade again, but damn, I can't find a good reason other than I just want to, and that's not good enough. I never got to see my 8800GTX's really fly because my CPU always bottle-necked them. I don't really have many upgrade options in a socket AM2 and I'd be wasting money with an AM2+ or AM3 CPU.

The led monitor seemed like the way to go.
I mean the only downfall is it doesnt have a hdmi hookup. so I cant hook my ps3 to it.
But, I had a asus monitor and it quit after a year and a half.
So i am buying this to use for at least 4-5 years.
Plus its rated to save up to 30-40% energy. Seems like a good investment.

I looked up the reviews on newegg. for the video card.
Had better ratings than some of the other ones.

I hope it runs sc2 well.

I just ordered a bunch of gear to upgrade my pc.
I got to go and reserve my copy for SC2.

Blizzard games put more emphasis on graphic artsy style rather than ultra realism stressfull stuff that can make people's pc explode. They realise that the more people that can play their game, the more money they will make.. I wouldn't worry unless you have a totally outdated pc(like only one core, XP, ect)

How do I link two laptops using serial USB converters???

I am trying to play the game starcraft 2 have two laptops each with a usb to serial converter, a serial cable, a null modem, and two gender adapters (to make the null modem fit) with everything hooked up and each computer set to a different com port I can't get the thing to run!!!

:worthy: HELP!!!!

You can't possibly be serious. Are you? Put Gretel on the line.

If you are - I would be extremely surprised if SC2 supported that kind of connection. Actually, I doubt any current games would. They all use TCP/IP. Why wouldn't you just set them up on a private LAN, either with a crossover cable or a switch, and play that way?

That said, I'm not sure the SC2 beta supports local games either - I will have to check. The final release certainly will, however.

Downloading patch 16 now. Blizzard now has party chat. I probably won't use it but this patch "enables cross game social features between WoW and SC2".

Hmmmm.

I hope the 9500 doesnt kill sc2.

it looks smooth.

You don't have RA3? I'll play that with you.

Uproar and I have been playing Generals.

I always liked C&C Gold, RA, and RA2 the best. I might pick up RA3 if it's on steam for mac. I'm going to get SC2 aswell.

I couldn't stand RA3. I loved Generals and RA2. Even TW3 was really good.

But RA3 and TW4 are terrible IMO. SC and SC2 have broken the plane for best RTS outside of the Civ series. I'm looking forward to Civ5.

I never really got into sc, it was too different from c&c (which i played first), never really got into wc either. i'm going to give it a shot though. I did however play aoe a decent amount.
