Sunday Ticket Will Be Priced At $300/Year With A Possible Cheaper Single Team Option (1 Viewer)

They don't want EVERYONE to buy it, because then their servers have to be able to handle the traffic. They also want TV viewers to be a big number because the TV money is still HUGE. It's better for them to miss the market by going too expensive than it is to miss by going too low. I expect individual team package will be $99.00.

The TV money is still there. Youtube is not going to put cameras at every game. Just like DirecTV, they'll just package the TV transmissions from NBC/CBS/FOX/ESPN.

If anything, part of the money Youtube is going to pay will go to the networks transmitting the games.

I remember back in the day when directv started offering Sunday Ticket and I believe you could get single team coverage for like $79…makes sense that it would probably be $100+ today.

That sucks. I was praying for it to be added to prescription. It’s the same as DIRECTV. Wish it was still with them. At least I could call and get it free all the time

I would pay $150 for a single team option as long as I don’t have to subscribe to YouTube tv as well. Direct tv is getting turned off in a couple weeks.
I doubt that. The point of getting the Ticket is to bring in more subs to YTTV. They're not gonna offer a standalone package. Or rather, I'd be pleasantly surprised if they do.

If they offer a single team package, I’m in. The only reason I have the ticket now is so I can watch Saints games.

Considering the cost of attending a game in person, this is not a bad price.

And considering that this is for out-of-market fans, it’s quite reasonable. Your options are (1) watching local at a sports bar with the package, (2) not watching, or (3) traveling to the market.

Option 3 really isn’t reasonable for a whole season so the comparison is with option 1 and 2. I think it’s a pretty favorable option.

I have the NBA season pass on my YouTubeTV and I really like how it works in the interface.

I guess you're being facetious, but clearly, the single team package is going to be more valuable on a per game basis to a given team fan than the full package. I'm guessing it would be worth at least half of the full package, if not more.
If I remember correctly, the NBA has a single team option and it knocks off like $20 or something.

My point is that I bet fans will be disappointed when the single team option comes out and it’s $250 instead of $300

They’re also going to offer it through YouTube Premium (Red) - which can be had for quite a bit cheaper than YTTV if you’re not looking for a TV package.
