Sunday Ticket Will Be Priced At $300/Year With A Possible Cheaper Single Team Option (1 Viewer)

I'm not nearly invested in this enough to confirm my estimates here but I'm sure someone more diligent will gladly correct me cuz ain't that what the internet is all about?

Whether you have Sunday NFL Ticket or not, you get approximately the following games for free (depending on how free you consider the prime time games on Thur/Sun/Mon):

TNF: 17 (1 per week except for week 18) + 2 extra Thanksgiving games (3 total that day)

SNF: 17

MNF: 17

CBS/Fox 12pm/3pm Sunday games: 36 (At least a combined total of 2 per week or 3 whenever one of them is airing a doubleheader)

So that's 89 "free" games right there. With the expansion to 17 games, they now play 272 games per year. That leaves 183 games up for grabs minus any sunday afternoon local doubleheader games.

For just one team, you'd expect 3-5 prime time games. Split the difference and call it 4 so you'd be getting 13 extra games instead of 183ish. 13 is about 7% of 183 so a proportional price for one team would be like $21.

If anyone wants to clean up my numbers or breakdown, have at it.

I don’t think it’s based on whether a given team has X games on prime time. Not all teams have the same number of nationally televised games. The price will be the price - regardless of which team it is.

No, they are contractually obligated to charge in the neighborhood of $300 due to CBS/FOX contracts. Ridiculous, right?

As for YTTV location settings, there doesn't appear to be any means of manually entering a location. It uses your computer or phone geolocation services.
Would a VPN solve that problem?

If so may think about getting the Bengals since I get the Saints locally wait $99 for one team so guessing a team like the Bengals I would paying for like 8 to 9 games at best doubt I pay $100 for one team even if I didn't get the Saints locally

So far this season, I’ve watched nothing but my own youtubetv programming with local programming and redzone, along with Amazon prime for Thursday night games. I’ve done much better watching the Saints passively this year. Next year I’ll probably do the same. I can always rewatch games on NFL Network rewind.

I’ll still get the Jaguars as part of local programming. I’d buy the Saints for $150 once they get better. Maybe two seasons from now. Until then I’ll just go with basic youtubetv (local channels and redzone) and Amazon prime.
