NFL Sunday Wild card playoffs [Merged] (243 Viewers)

NFL is now 4 good teams and a bunch of garbage. What a terrible playoff weekend.

Definitely in a very mediocre era. QB play has fallen off so much. Even a lot of the good ones are way more flawed than yester-year. The standard has come way down.

Howie Rosen Doesn't have the cap space he once had since Hurts is no longer on a rookie deal. He's ok for now,but
those backloaded contracts will eventually catch up.

Actually the contracts are structured so the Eagles cap space will be increasing over the next three years, with the Eagles having a breathtaking $102m in cap space in 2027. Now obviously that number will shrink as they sign and re-sign players, draft players, etc., but they're setup very nicely for the future.

Don’t think there’s any restrictions on who can get the snap.

Correct. I believe the only rule is that the QB must start from shotgun. In other words, he can’t line up under center then motion away for someone else to get the snap.

Missing short field goals is the first sign that you are going home early in the playoffs.

Yep, and when it happens when trailing 10-0 on the road and finally breaking through with a nice drive, it’s usually a prelude to a blowout.

Packers defense is playing well enough to win. They need their offense to step up

Yep. We know how these things work all too well. If their offense doesn’t get going soon, the defense will wear down and mentally also start going through the motions.
