Is there a place anyone gathering up at Sat. night?

Yes. It sounds like about 400 people will be at Big Woodrow's. It party will start at around noon for pre-LSU game festivities and then roll on until who knows when.

I don't know where the place is. Check the other Houston fan/tailgating/pre-game threads. I've seen a couple of images advertising the event.

Big Woodrows is THE place for LSU games, and is the main gathering place for the Houston Saints fans. UPSTAIRS is where you want to be. I don't know when the heck we'll be there, with family arriving, shopping to do, tailgate stuff to deliver to the bus, etc., and I also would love to greet the team at their hotel (in the Galleria area, not far from Woodrows). Oh, so much to do, and so little time and energy to do it! I'm sure the Woodrow's party will last well past the LSU game, LOL. I wonder if one of us regulars there should warn them of the upcoming invasion...:hihi:

And I am definitely bringing the camera for Sunday's tailgate....:hihi:

Jay- I'll also be in the blue lot with Supa Saint. There are about 20 of us Saints fans so I'll be looking for Mike's truck.

We have several threads running already which concern tickets, etc. This thread is about the tailgate only.

1. I purchased two parking passes because we need two passes for Saint Mike's Bus. I thought his bus would be the easiest thing to find in the parking lot so coordinating with him is the best idea. The parking passes costs me $141.75. I'd like to get everyone who is going to paypal me the $ for the passes and depending upon how many contribute, we will just divide it equally. The parking passes are in the "Blue" Lot by Reliant Stadium. I have attached a link for the parking lot map. If someone can post the map itself in this thread, that would be good.

2. Since Primadox lives locally in Houston, she has agreed to pick up stuff locally for us such as hot dogs, plates, napkins, buns, hamburgers, beer, etc. We all just need to paypal her money for it.

3. We need an idea of how many people are going to tailgate with us so we can get an idea of how much food, beer, etc. to bring and how much we need to paypal Primadox.

4. If we want crawfish, can we get it locally and can someone bring a burner for it?

Everyone,

We still need the following right now:

1. A grill. If we don't get one quick, I say primadox should use any excess funds to buy a cheap one from a local store that will fit about 20 or so hamburgers.

2. We still need a sound system to play either mp3s on a mp3 player or a usb thumb drive.

I think st mike said that he bought what he needed to be able to hook up an ipod or any mp3 player that has a headphone jack.

SaintMike said:
My bus has a nice Stereo system and I'll have all the Saints music. Bring whatever other type of music you want to play. I'll have the converter to play from Ipods.

SKYMIKE!!! You feel like hauling my grill in your newly-repaired pick-em-up truck?? I've got a grill, but getting it there is the issue.

Drew is singing on Sunday morning (and he'll be praying for a Saints win while he's in church, LOL), so he won't leave our house until 9am. I'll leave earlier with my sister and brother in law....oh, my sister said they could haul some Abita from New Orleans as their contribution to the tailgate in an equivalent value to their payment; comments? Anyway, I'll be bringing coolers of food and drink to SaintMike's bus on Saturday; if he can stash my grill as well then all the better; otherwise maybe skymike can haul it to the Kirby entrance to the blue lot and we can just wheel it from there... I'm not in the blue lot and I'm too cheap to pay through the nose to park my car at Reliant's lots (too many years of playing the free parking game in NYC, I guess....), so hauling everything by myself into the blue lot is not an option.

Countdown to the tailgate kickoff....:9:

you got it. Lets make sure I can physically get it TO the blue lot. Surely they wont stop me from rolling it over from my space in the ORANGE LOT to the blue lot....

2. did you call Casey? She may be able to help you....

WAHOOOOO TAILGATE!

I will be down your way on Saturday, hopefully to see the Saints arrive (and Casey has to come with us if we do). Maybe I should bring the grill then? My brain hurts...

Orange lot is next to blue, so I don't see how they can stop you, LOL, unless there are gates and fences between:
