Video Taysom Hill Raw Footage (Video From OTAs) (1 Viewer)

I hate to write to this because it’s not the popular opinion but I saw stiffness.. and a low delivery with a few different throwing motions that looked unnatural. I didn’t see the fluidity Drew has - which is a given - but nothing in that video gets me excited - except the fact that he looks like he can play special teams if needed lol

I have to say, even though it is OTA's, when Drew and Taysom are shown together, the footwork: Drew is Baryshnikov performing The Swan Lake, Taysom is Billy Ray Cyrus doing the Achy Breaky :hihi:

Im real happy with his progress and i think hes probably gonnabe the 2nd string QB. Think abiut it. I want his best drees impression. The little looks and fakes and true pocket intangibles that make him great. Absorb all of that THEN have the strength and speed to get scramble yards only when necessary and still get YACs?!?! Imagine him not now (he just started throwing dang) but next season after we win the super bowl.

I wouldn't go that far but yeah.

I do like seeing Brees' body language. You can tell he likes him and is willing to work with him, something Brees wouldn't have done just a year or two ago.

I'd like to see more film of him going through his reads and progression. I want to see how he uses his eyes to open up the field for himself. I'm excited for the guy.

read this after I wrote my comment. I agree 100% you hit it on the head before I got a chance bring it up.

I want to see his touch on some long balls and accuracy on the run. I'm not really concerned with if he can run the football with the offense we run here, but it's certainly a nice option.

We shall see......

in ballet it's called 'ballon' - essentially it's light footwork - the sense that you never land, but moving efficiently from one leap through the floor to another
fast twitch muscles and high centers of gravity help
everyone can improve their ballon, but it really seems to be an attribute that some are born with

he is just fractions off and moments slower, but in OTA that needs not to happen. Very first pass is a short dinker that the receiver reaches down for which slows converstion to run after catch. I saw a lot of that, not sure he is stiff but he is not fluid, yet.
