Teams calling the Saints about Lattimore; Commanders, Chiefs, Chargers, & Ravens are legitimately interested & actively bidding (4 Viewers)

Looks like the Chiefs are definitely looking for a vet CB….and Lattimore’s low base salary could possibly help the Chiefs figure out a way to fit their salary cap.

He's 28 and has not played close to a full season since 2021. This team needs to shed salary and start a rebuild. If we can get any decent compensation, we need to do so with any of our aging veterans.

It's all my own speculation but I believe the team's plan was to pay either Lattimore or Adebo depending on how this season played out and have McKinstry take over as a starter next season (provided he didn't look completely out of his depth, which he hasn't). The problem is with Adebo's broken femur no one has any idea what he looks like after recovery, and we haven't exactly had the best luck with injury recovery either.

That said, I do agree that if we lose Sunday they might well decide to get what they can for Lattimore now and worry about our CB room in the off-season.

The good thing is broken bones heal a lot better than tendon/ligament tears. ACL’s & Achilles injuries are damning for DB’s because of the twisting & turning they do. Bones heal much better and stronger.

If Adebo didn’t tear any ligaments/tendons he “should“ be fine next season.

If Adebo is in a situation where he’s not ready to pass a physical when free agency opens, it might behoove him to sign a 1 year deal with us so he can continue to rehab with us and try to regain his value next season.

I would take my time to come back from a Hamstring injury if I was Lattimore. He's been known to do this in the Dennis Allen era.

You get that Snead pick for Latt and be done with him. You're not keeping him past this season anyway, so either let him walk for nothing and hope to get a good comp pick, or you trade him now.

My guess is that Latt gets traded before the deadline, and you hold on for the highest offer. I can see Washington trying to trade for him too.

Saints should trade him but I doubt Mickey does anything other than to push it forward for next year. I love Kamara but smart money on was moving him and not creating dead cap for a 30+ year old RB and further restricting the future cap. Not Mickey, he's all in or bust.
