TEDDY 2020 (1 Viewer)

Not saying I'm for this quite yet since Brees might come back. But we did go 5-0 with Teddy and the playbook was being opened up more and more each week. Could Teddy have sustained his Tampa Bay type of performance the rest of the year and into the playoffs? I guess we really just don't know. Would have been interesting to see how long the streak would have lasted.

Which is why Drew rushed his return to before the bye so we wouldn't have an extra 2 weeks to dream about "6-0 Teddy". and I get it, Drew is ultra-competitive and its not easy to see your wife and kids having a laugh with some other bloke.

But the question at the feet of the Saints organization is what do you do if you have a 41-year old QB who played poorly in a wild card loss at home, and wants a brand new contract, when you have younger options like Bridgewater and Hill, who might not be available in a few months, or worse yet, could sign with one or two of your division opponents, and be confronted with the results of this choice possibly for years. I don't think the Saints view this as an easy question.

It's time for a change everyone needs to get behind.

Teddy bridgewater for QB.

No mistakes
No flash
Control football
Dominate time of possession

This wins playoff games not high flying attacks.

Apparently getting hit in the face by a snap you were not expecting is not a mistake. Twice.

OK. That was pretty funny.

Your post. Not TB getting hit in the face by an unexpected snap. That was definitely not funny.

Problem is Taysom will look a lot better than Teddy in preseason and everyone will be asking why is Teddy starting? Without a defense playing out of their minds Teddy doesnt win 5 games. Maybe goes 3-2 or 2-3 and everyone is singing a different tune right now.

Teddy has a better resume than Taysom as a starting QB on any day. Everything about Taysom is based on spot qb time and a projection that he can be like LJ . I don't deny Taysom's potential, I'm just saying there is no evidence of him doing this on a consistent basis in our current system.

You guys.... when we saw that AB was holding back the entire team.. we moved on..

its time to move on.

No slight against DB... he brought us so much happiness and is one of the most amazing human beings I have ever met..

but he is in a scheme that requires a over the top attack.. and he cant go over the top anymore..

How is Drew Brees holding back the Team exactly, were coming off a DISSAPOINTING 13-3 season.

Now, I'm as ready to see what Taysom Hill or Teddy Bridgwater can do as the heir apparent but lets stop bashing Brees to make it happen.

His up coming free agency and the Saints wanting to keep all three QB's together suggest that we might lose one or two players at that position but if we are thinking about the future and the dead money the Saints will already have to eat because of those "maximize Drews window" contracts it may be time to go with a 27yr old Bridgewater or 29yr old Hill.

It ain't happening if Drew wants to play. That's something everyone needs to accept more than "time for a change" being what everyone needs to get behind.

TB isn't half the quarterback that Brees is no matter how you slice it. What do you think this team would have looked like in our three consecutive 7-9 seasons if TB was the QB?
Does it matter? Losing season, no playoffs, what's the difference? Better draft choice? I like Brees but to say the team is going to fall apart when he leaves has been shown not to be true.

That is the rub isn't it.

It is really simple. Play Drew and Teddy and Tayson. If Drew is sputtering as he can do. A series for Taysom a series for Teddy. It won't take long to see who can do what.

Preseason 1/4 Teddy 1/4 Taysom 1/4 Teddy 1/4 Taysom. Nest game switch it up.

This ain't Rocket Science and I'm a one so I should know.

Don't know the reason for the down votes, but this is true. Drew Brees should be the QB for the Saints until the second Drew Brees no longer wishes to be the QB of the Saints. He is 100% absolutely OWED that. By the team, by the fan base, by the city.

I like Teddy, Teddy is an excellent QB. He is NOT Drew Brees. Teddy needs to go be a starting QB somewhere. Since Drew Brees is staying in NO, it will NOT be for the Saints. I would love to keep Teddy next year WITH Drew Brees, but Teddy would be an idiot to remain here.

For that reason, The Saints should move forward with Drew Brees and Taysom Hill next year, plus a QB to be named later. Nothing against TB, but those are the facts.

I don't know how good Teddy can be in the right offense. But the stats don't lie. He is not a deep passer. Loose Cannon and his sock puppet tried real hard to argue he has a stronger arm than Taysom. He even tried to bring Taysom's faith into the argument, but the following charts of his longest passes for every pro year tell the true story. They include every pass that went for more that 30 yards (The quoted distances include yards after catch)

Okay, so SP is going morph into Greg Roman and change system he has been running for almost 2 decades. Funny

People will accuse me again of being down on Teddy. I'm not, I am just being realistic about his skill and performance.

And please don't remind me about his back story and recovery. All nice, but Taysom also has come back from injury stories and no one make them an argument for keeping Taysom on the team.
