The Breonna Taylor Murder (1 Viewer)

every single person that pencil whipped and/or lied on any paperwork needs to be held accountable. those detectives need to be responsible for her murder more than the ones who pulled the trigger..
Did the judge who approved it have any responsibility for due diligence?

Warrants need to be a clear bar... no knock warrants probably should not exist, but if they must then the requirements need to be clear, exceedingly rigirous, and every single person in the chain of application, approval, and execution needs to have full responsibility for ensuring that which makes them required is in fact valid.

Just the concept of no-knock warrants — jeez, John Adams is spinning in his grave.

What was false about the narratives??? She signed off on a warrant that was based off of a lie and those officers were comfortable enough to approach her to seek her signature on a fraudulent document.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The boyfriend of Breonna Taylor who fired a shot at police as they burst through Taylor's door the night she was killed has settled two lawsuits against the city of Louisville, his attorneys said Monday.

The city agreed to pay $2 million to settle lawsuits filed by Walker in federal and state court, one of his attorneys, Steve Romines said in a written statement. He added that Taylor's death “will haunt Kenny for the rest of his life.”

“He will live with the effects of being put in harm’s way due to a falsified warrant, to being a victim of a hailstorm of gunfire and to suffering the unimaginable and horrific death of Breonna Taylor,” Romines said.

Walker and Taylor were settled in bed for the night when they were roused by knocking on her apartment door around midnight on March 13, 2020. Police were outside with a drug warrant, and they used a battering ram to knock down the door. Walker fired a single shot from a handgun, striking Sgt. John Mattingly in the leg. Mattingly and two other officers then opened fire, killing Taylor.

Walker was initially charged with attempted murder of a police officer, but charges against him were eventually dropped as protests and news media attention on the Taylor case intensified in the spring of 2020............

Couldn't disagree more with this DoJ assessment:
U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said the federal grand jury also didn't indict Cosgrove because "the officers who ultimately carried out the search at Taylor's apartment were not involved in the drafting of the warrant and were unaware of the false and misleading statements that it contained."
Everything that came after them obtaining that FRAUDULENT search warrant was an illegal action. FULL STOP! His comrades in blue made him an accessory to multiple crimes and the DoJ gave him a pass.

Edit: The more I think about it, everyone that gave the other officers a pass has just legalized the "I was just following orders" defense!!!
