The High Ceiling/Low Floor QB prospect that is probably our best option in the draft: Malik Willis(And some Sam Howell) (3 Viewers)

I think the QBs will fall farther in the draft than we think. Sure, some team may take a shot at an extremely athletic QB like Willis, but others like Howell or Ridder could fall pretty far. If one of those guys is available in the 3rd (maybe even the 4th) the Saints might take a shot. But I'd rather go with the existing QBs than lose a chance at a top flight receiver.
Existing QB is currently Ian Book and Blake Bortles. Taysom is expected to miss the start of the season.

So. No. That's really worse than current WR situation in my opinion.

1. Pickett
2. Strong
3. Howell

I really want Pickett he puts me in the mindset of the current young guns in the league Burrow, Mahomes, Allen and Herbert.
It's Howell and Willis for me.

But I'm biased for arm talent.

I wanted to like like Strong, but he always underwhelms me as a back up guy.

Pickett is out of reach, but I don't like his tiny hands anyways.

Corral desreve some chatter, but it seems like a lot of people want to wait and see how he turns out.

Lot of Super Bowl wins with mobile QBs.
You're right. There have been a lot of Super Bowls won by mobile QBs.

When I say "mobile QB" I'm not talking about a running QB. To me there's a clear distinction. Mobile QBs can make things happen with their feet when a play breaks down but running isn't their greatest strength. Like Joe Burrow, Steve Young, John Elway, Russel Wilson, etc.

Then you have running QBs like Vick, Lamar Jackson, young Randal Cunningham, etc. I'm not saying I want a running QB. It would be nice to have a guy who could make some plays with his feet if he has to.

Arm strength clearly doesn't make a QB great alone, but this is pretty amazing. He beat Josh Allen's record by nearly 10 MPH and Allen has a cannon:

Problem with evaluations of guys like Justin Herbert or Josh Allen or even Pat Mahomes is too much is made of what then can’t do. Their flaws.

I don’t buy this class is as bad as many say. I like Pickett even with his small hands. I like Ridder. I need more time to look at Howell and Willis.

Howell and Willis are my favorite prospects in this class. Pickett would be good for us, because him being in a dome 10 games a season and the likelihood he gots a ton of rain games doesn't outweigh his potential. I still don't think he'll fall to 18th tho.

Plus, no QB is good playing the rain. Winston haven't won a rain game in his career till this year. Just gotta watch out for them fumbles. He's probably gonna be worse than Daniel Jones.

So, here is combined big board from a bunch of the "draft experts." Obviously, these guys are not NFL talent evaluators and NFL boards will vary, but given that it's an average from several subjective points of view, it probably gives a decent idea of the area these guys would fall. I find it interesting that it has the top rated QB as Pickett at #27 then Ridder at #29, and Willis at #32. It also has 3 WRs (Burks, Williamson, and Olave) ranked right where we pick at #18.
