It's why I graded him as a mid 2nd round player.

Absurd mocks got him top 10. I think Trey Lance is a cautionary tale to not zone in on raw talent as being able to translate into the NFL Day one.

He has no business going to a QB needy team.

I think McShay has him as his second QB behind Kenny Pickett and ahead of Matt Corral.

They keep doing this thing where they speak into existence that the Texans take him, but just no way on this earth any team will pick him that high. They try to spin him as a Vick and Russ hybrid, but he's neither of those things as a prospect. He got some Vick and Russ elements, but his game is far too raw.

He may have 1st round physical talent, but his body of work and competition is 3rd round. So, I split the difference and have him as a high 2nd.

They did the same hype job for Trey Lance and hopefully the recency bias deter bad teams from taking him high... Because I want him.

You know i never thought of it this way but you are absolutely correct.

Outside of a Real time same day mahomes type rookie which is rare, sean ain't got the time or patience to QB whisper a rookie.

It has to be a vet. I'm ok with that bc they need to overhaul the wide receiver group imo and find a serviceable tight end in this draft

Still a 2nd round grade. I see a lot of people try to hype him up into the top 10. I don't see it. I feel his accuracy. Ball placement. and reads still needs a lot of work and I think that'll ultimately force him to fall. Not day one ready.

Particularly his ability to read the field.
