HEI drops about a half billion on an acquisition. Stock up 2.85% today.

APPL reports record revenue. Currently up about 3% on after hours trading.

AMZN up over 12.5% in after hours trading on a revenue and net sales beat, even though income was negative. But that's how they roll at times.

GDP is negative for a second straight quarter signaling a recession. The stock market doesn’t care as all indexes closed up 1%+.

Because corporate profits are great and the labor market is still strong. Plus, the market tends to be forward looking not current or backwards looking. The general thought seems to be that the economy will not crash hard through interest rate hikes. We'll see.

Things starting to get spicy. Today is the last day to deliver the GME dividend.

Many international brokerages are having issues with the GME dividend. The dividend was a stock dividend of 3 shares for every 1 share you have.

There is a difference between a stock split and a share dividend. Even though at the end of the day your shares will essentially quadruple and the shares price essentially splits to that price.

Right now there is mounting evidence that the DTCC sent communication to brokerages that said to treat it as a stock split and not a dividend.

Shady brokerages have done the “stock split” and not the dividend. Other international brokerages have communicated directly with the DTCC and are demanding the shares as they are treating it as a stock dividend.

So there are a ton of people still waiting for shares to be deposited in their accounts. This is why I have mine directly registered in my name with the official transfer agent.

I hope GameStop Investor Relations steps in.

Spread the word Dave!

BA is up about 7% right now on news of the 787 likely to be approved (if not already) to resume manufacture by the FAA.

With that, expect Spirit Aero Systems to get a bump, and a future bump. They lost about a half billion in 2021 due to the delays.

AMZN is still climbing nicely. Glad I bought some again, since the split.

APPL has been a good hold, despite the dip a couple months ago.

Always a bonus when I grabbed at the daily low and then it goes up.

I also grabbed some January 2023 $1 puts but those are up as well because the volatility is up so much. Anyway, looks like your short squeeze is starting.

It got a lot of attention on wallstreet bets after it hit $6.30. At this price it met the 500 million marketcap requirement for that forum.

The bullish sentiment is that if/when Buy Buy Baby is spun off and gets valued at 1.5 billion. The current holders of BBBY will get the Buy Buy Baby shares when it IPOs.

The bearish sentiment is the previous management drive Bed Bath and Beyond into the gutter and the balance sheet is awful to put nicely.

No, this is a squeeze. The whole reason I bought the options was because the stock was dropping back to an all time low in the low $4 range. That is a perfect place for short sellers to close their short position because the downside reward becomes less than the upside risk and stocks tend to bounce off of terminal lows.

edit: Sorry, chart is in pesos for some reason but you get the point.

GameStop just released a statement about the stock dividend. Essentially they gave out approximately 220 million shares to their transfer agent (ComputerShare) and the DTCC.

The DTCC, however, clearly communicated with brokerages that they should just split the stock and divide the price by 4.

Many brokerages (and all international brokerages) have publicly said they haven’t received any shares from the DTCC. Further- they said that the DTCC directed them to just split the stock instead of issuing more shares via the dividend.

Where’s the shares Lebowski? Smells like international securities fraud from our very own Depository Trust Company.

Worth mentioning that GameStop in there prospectus said that if the DTCC is unable to perform any dividend in the correct format (within 90 days) that they reserve the right to pull out of the exchange entirely. (Rumor is they are building a new exchange for companies to use that incorporates blockchain technology).
