You do realize that the grids are being pushed to the maximum in the NE, Pacific NW and last week in Tx due to heat and energy companies were requesting everyone to cut back on energy use during peak hours in those areas right?
I can’t really disagree with anything you said. From my perspective I think any possible thing that can create negative sentiment in BBBY is on over drive right now. I think that’s because there is a ton of weight on the short side. You do realize that the grids are being pushed to the maximum in the NE, Pacific NW and last week in Tx due to heat and energy companies were requesting everyone to cut back on energy use during peak hours in those areas right?
BBBY was said to be turning down the AC in stores nationwide for cost savings.
It's two entirely different planets being discusssed.
With that said, if you take out puts on Target right now you'll probably do really well. As for BBBY, puts would be a great play as would calls given it is setting up for a great SS since everyone knows that company is toast.
Great observation that this isn’t anything super recent.I mentioned this somewhere upthread, but Target has been controlling the AC at all of its stores nationwide from it’s Minnesota HQ for at least the last 15 yrs.. it’s one reason i chose to shop at Target less often in the summers when i lived in Houston since the stores were kept so warm and i found out from an employee there that they had no control over the AC setting.. just terrible penny pinching .
And they don't have enough pilots or crew.....
I got a $3200 electric bill today on my 11,000 Sq Ft building. As much as I would love to dial the AC back to save money I'm sure my employees and the 130 dogs they are watching play today would not.

Supposed to be 105* today. It was 72* in the back when I left earlier.
Oh well. Gotta do what's right.
Have you looked into solar? That's an insane bill for a building that size. Assuming the building is closed at night you could probably pay for solar to eliminate your electricity costs in just a couple of years.I got a $3200 electric bill today on my 11,000 Sq Ft building. I looked into it awhile back but never pulled the trigger. Looking to sell and retire in the next year so probably will not do it.Have you looked into solar? I know I've been very happy with the solar I had installed. It's nice seeing credits on even the hottest weeks of the year and having battery backup has been great for the frequent power outages we get in rural Ms.
