The Nascar Thread (4 Viewers)

Elliot has to be suspended at least a week for that. That's what they gave Bubba for doing pretty much the same thing last year to Larson. I'm just a bit surprised Chase did that.

I’m certainly surprised at where he did it. That was a huge hit Denny took.

Man, the Chase homers are furiously trying to justify what happened. Lol.
This clip sure looks like Brad got into Chase, but some have said Chase was already wheel-left when it happened. Hard to tell. I think Nascar will review all of this, all video, and the telemetry on all three cars and come to a conclusion. If Chase did it on purpose, I think they will suspend him.

It happens really fast, but to my eyes, Chase starts to turn before he makes contact with the 11 and 6 cars. Seems obvious to me. But I guess Nascar will have to use their own data.

To me, if they don't suspend Chase, it does two things. One, they play favorites, and two, it's saying there are no consequences for reckless racing unless you're certain drivers, which I guess is still playing favorites. I feel like drivers will continue being too aggressive if they don't do anything about it.

I think they can defend not suspending him if they conclude that the evidence shows that he didn't turn left into Denny on purpose. Otherwise, yes, I think they have to.

I'll say this much, if Nascar doesn't suspend him and then doesn't adequately explain what happened, they're gonna be in a bad way with a lot of fans imo.

Longer and original video of the Bubba vs Aric incident. Apparently these guys have a history, and not exactly a good one.

Chase suspended. Lajoie will drive the 9, Hocevar will drive the 7, which I think is cool. He's still green, but he's been driving really well in both trucks and Xfinity in recent weeks. I'm a fan. Only caveat is he is too aggressive at times and has wrecked people. I'm curious to see how he does in a Cup car.

Also, HMS has said they will not appeal. Interesting.
